I think for people who really understand and appreciate Walt Disney's vision, it means a lot. At least, it does for me.
As MK closes each night, Cinderella's Castle will begin to sparkle and change colors. As it does, "When You Wish Upon a Star" begins to play. Ultimately, a voice comes over the speaker system, and in a few words tells you what comes across as a very heartfelt wish that you enjoyed your stay at MK, and a safe ride home. The "kiss" is repeated every half-hour or so, I'm told, beginning a half-hour before closing time.
We were at MK for e-ride night on our recent trip. On the way out, we sat in front of the castle and waited for our kiss. The crowds had thinned to the point that we were virtually by ourselves. It was peaceful, quiet, and wonderful.
Of all the attractions and rides at MK, that was the best moment for me.
