Magic Kingdom Monorail

So I've heard various reports about the resort and express monorails being down next week. Some have mentioned some vague letters but we did not receive one.

Does anyone have anything definitive about the monorail next week? Will it be running? If so, as usual or on a reduced schedule.

Must admit, picked the Poly in large part because of its monorail access. I'll be disappointed, very much so, if such a major component of that resorts transportation options is in operable.

Some people received letters that the monorails would be down during non-peak hours. The last time Disney did this, they took the monorails offline from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Basically it will affect you if you're someone who takes afternoon breaks. In that case there will be the boat and also bus service back to the Poly.

Well, we consider afternoon breaks required so that is going to be mighty frustrating...

Still, I haven't seen anything official. Can anyone else confirm with a link or something similar? As I mentioned, we never received a letter.

There's no link or other printed or posted information. You could try Google. It's not even in the list of blogs and articles on the DIS main page. You could try calling WDW.

Stating at the Polynesian, if this affects you, you'll have mid-day options of a temporary daily bus, OR the MK-GF-Poly launch operating on a regular basis, OR the MK-TTC ferry also running on a continuous basis. That's one option more than your MK-area resort neighbors.

I've actually found the boat to be almost as efficient as the monorail and it's a nice, relaxing alternative.
