The park has to have a maximum capacity. The state determines this. For most businesses it has to be published in a publicly viewable place. Not sure why this would not apply to theme parks.

I'm curious how you had 4 FPs. I can't imagine on December 26th you were able to get a 4th FP for Splash Mountain, especially not with immediate return availability. Did you have two sets of bands?

Perhaps Disney should have giant signs throughout the theme parks, at the parking toll booths, in the hotels, and on all the highways in the vicinity listing the current park attendance.

I'd pay $10 more per day for that information.
