Hi everyone. I new to this board so i apologize in advance if this question has already been asked before. I just planned a last minute one day trip to Walt Disney World at the end of our Disney Cruise Vacation. My plan was to spend ALL day, open to close, at Magic Kingdom. But the more I look at the rides I am second guessing myself about only doing one park. Do you think I should add another park to my ticket? Or is there enough to occupy us at Magic Kingdom for the day? As a side note, we are not interested in any of the meet and greets with any of the characters or any of the character meals. I basically just want to go to disney and ride the rides, if that makes sense. I have NEVER been to Walt Disney World and my kids have been before with their dad but they were much younger. They are now boy age 9 and boy age 8.

TIA
Liz

There are enough things at Magic Kingdom alone to fill up way more than one day. I've been going to Disney World for years and years and there are still things I haven't done at MK.

There are plenty of rides and experiences to keep you and your boys busy for the whole day at the Magic Kingdom. No one can tell you if you should or shouldn't add another day to your ticket. Only you will really know what is the right fit for your family. A lot of people with younger kids prefer to do multiple days in just the Magic Kingdom. My suggestion would be to look at what each park has to offer and see what your boys are most interested in. When my middle daughter was 6 I thought her favorite park would be Magic Kingdom because of all the rides and just the general "this is what Disney World is all about" atmosphere, but after all was said and done Animal Kingdom was her favorite.

What I would suggest (and it would cost a little more) is to get a two day hopper pass and spend half a day at each park doing what is not to be missed for your family. Spend the morning at Magic Kingdom doing the rides and set your FP+ for the bigger rides in Hollywood Studios and end your night at Fantasmic. The next day you could Spend the morning at Animal Kingdom with your FP+ set for afternoon EPCOT rides. There are so many combinations of things you can do, that I am sure you will find what fits your family best.

One day and you want to park hop? Haha no way Magic Kingdom has more than enough to occupy yourself.

Thanks!! I will stick to my original plan. I wish I had time to do more than one day but this was a very last minute plan to try and squeeze in one day at Disney.
