....and it's not even Easter weekend

Anyone else heading out to WDW soon? I sure hope the crowds aren't completely unbearable. Apparently the park was completely closed to anyone not staying in a Disney resort - along with Animal Kingdom (!) which was also closed as it had reached its full capacity.

:earseek: Sounds pretty busy!

Richard.

We have been to magic kingdom on xmas day and it was full to capacity.
we couldn't get on any rides as the queues were too long:mad:
it was just a mass of people, couldn't see any tarmac:eek:
I wonder if easter is just the same then..

Well, it seems like that this year! We usually take our Florida holidays at Easter and although it has often been busy, I don't think we have been once when the parks have shut because of full capacity during this time (well, if they have we just haven't noticed before!)

Folks, it was INSANE yesterday (4/5). Some lowlights:

1. Line to purchase park tickets at the T&TC was 45 minutes.

2. Line for monorail to MK from T&TC was 20 minutes.

3. Line to rent a stroller was 40 minutes.

4. Ran out of double-strollers at 12:15 in the afternoon.

5. Time to swindle another family out of their double-stroller was 10 minutes.

6. Time to get through main street parade to get a fast pass for Buzz Lightyear was 20 minutes.

7. At 1:40 pm, fast pass for Buzz Lightyear was for 6:05 pm.

8. Line for hot dogs was 30 minutes.

I've never seen the park this busy in my life. There's a Bermuda Triangle of humanity that forms between the Dumbo and Carousel rides that can take 15 minutes to navigate with lost children aplenty.

We got to the T&TC at 11am and left the MK at 3pm without going on a single ride. Did Chef Mickey's at 5pm and went back to the MK at 7pm and went on every ride we wanted to for a grand total of 6 rides.

Horrible. Don't go.

:earseek: :earseek:

It would be a nightmare, nobody would enjoy themselves:(

I don't understand why people just don't go back to their accomodation and go swimming or something??::yes::

Hi,
What's wrong with you all..?
Give me a busy day at Disney to a quiet day at work anytime...:teeth:

Mick.

:smooth:

I wonder why it was so busy - I guess everyone had arrived at the weekend and hit the parks on the Monday.

Richard you've done it before at Easter so I'm sure you'll be fine :D You're gonna have a fabulous holiday :sunny:

While I'm sure it's inconvenient if you're actually there it is very good news that the park business is picking up. Hopefully busy parks and hotels mean that Disney will be happier to reinvest in those assets.

I'm sure we will :teeth: Like Mick said, a busy day at Disney has to be better than a quiet day at work!

We're off to Windsor to see some family and friends tomorrow before heading over to the Gatwick Hilton to get ready for the flight on Friday. 'See' you when we get back
 (I've told myself I just have to throw together a trip report this time!)

HI!!

We went at easter and visited the disney parks over easter weekend. Although it was really busy we still managed to have a lot of fun!!! We did go back to the pool in the afternoon for a bit though just to relax a little ::yes:: :wave2:

Have a great trip Richard!!

we went this xmass and went to MK on xmass day got there first thing think it was 8 it was early but as we were up a 5.30 that was no problem. found the park was full but had no problem getting on rides got fast passes for the evening (you dont have to go betwen the time on the ticket you can go on any time after the first time on it up till the park closes) had to wat for parade 2 hours befor but didnot mind sitting on main street outside in our fav spot outside the ice cream parlor it was like a sun trap was told the park was shut at 11.30 but as an amount of people whent out they let the same amount in we think it it was 500 to a 1000 as there was waves of people comming in down main street every now and then we where told its the car park that gets shut first when we whent out after parade cars were parked on the grass up to the petol station near the toll booths we had no problem getting back in later ( we were staying on site at BW) so if its a bussy time of year Xmas or easter use there transport and you will allways get in
