How busy the Magic Kingdom that day?

Also how is the weather during that time period?
If you leave is it possible to get back in to the park for the fireworks that night?

Where is a good place to stand for those fireworks?

Thank You

I have a good friend that goes for the 4th every year. Last year, the MK was closed due to being at capacity very early in the day. Same with the water parks, and that was later in the week!
All I can say is.......GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I went around 4th on July 4th and go in. I had no problems. Beware it's very crowd.

We will will in DW on the 4th but are not going near the MK until after the fireworks show is over, just tooooo crowded for us. We are going to spend the day at MGM and Epcot, staying for Illuminations. LOL. ::MickeyMo

The 4th is VERY busy and usually fills to capacity early.....I went one year and was only able to ride 3 rides! The fireworks were awesome. The weather is very hot and humid.......good luck

We'll be there on the 4th this year, our 1st time during that time of year. We have done Christmas and Easter before, so we're prepared for the crowds. The heat and humidity is our biggest concern.

Remember that the 4th is a Sunday, EE for MK. So, if you plan to do MK that day - go as early as possible and PLAN, PLAN, PLAN! If there are rides that you want to do, get them done 1st! No shopping, No characters, No shows, etc...you can do those later.

My plan is to go straight to Dumbo, Grab Fast Pass for Pooh, Indy Cars, ride Pooh, Snow White, Grab FP for Peter Pan, see Philharmagic, ride Peter Pan and then...we're outta there! We have a PS at Chef Mickey's for 11:15. We are seeing WISHES from the Grand One out in the Lagoon (WOOHOO!).

We followed a similar plan on Easter Sunday a few years ago and it worked great! We finished what we planned by 11 am, had some lunch and sat in a shady spot on Main St. (for 2 hrs.) to reserve a spot for the parade. I expect the 4th will be much hotter than Easter, though, so we'll save the parade for another day.

Anyhow, my advice...Go EARLY, PLAN & Use FAST PASS! Oh, and sunscreen and Mister Fans, or something else to keep cool!:sunny:

WE are planning on Chef Mickeys at 7:40, then watch the fireworks from the Contempary and then go to MK after the fireworks.. think that will be okay??

We will be travelling with 4 children and I can't imagine being at MK all day long, but we would love to see WISHES. My ? is.... Can you see the fireworks from just outside the MK park?...Assuming the park is at capacity and we wouldn't be able to get in... what are our viewing choices? Will we be able to hear the music?

We tried this one year from the Polynesian and the stampede leaving the MK after the fireworks was horrible. Since you are at the Contemporary you might want to walk over, but be prepared when you get to the gates to face a huge amount of people leaving. If the train is still running, I would suggest getting on it and getting away from Main Street, or you will feel like a salmon trying to swim up river against a wildebeast stampede.
