Would it be possible to watch the parade from either the area you munch on snacks or where you wait for the fireworks that's included with the Dessert Party?

If so, would it be better to do the pre or post party?

We've only been to the area where you munch on the snacks and I think it's too far for the parade viewing. You will need binoculars. The trees will also block out a lot of things.

This is a picture I got from the internet showing the view from seats and treats.

I don't know the viewing location(s) of the pre and post fireworks parties.

I took the plunge and grabbed the Pre-Party for our trip in September, I'll report back after the trip, but hopefully someone can enlighten us before then.

I was at MK and saw the parade Friday in a front row spot on main st for soft opening night one. Then on Saturday I saw it again from the treats and seats dessert party seating area. From treats and seats you can see the floats as they are elevated, and also hear the music. However you miss the ground performers between the floats as they are obstructed by the crowd and can’t see as much detail on the floats. It was overall a decent view for the floats and a unique way to see the parade a second time. However I would have been disappointed if this was my only view. Definitely worth seeing for yourself but I saw it in person and the previous poster was stating a fact. There are no ground character performers between floats other than Tinkerbell.

There are some people dressed in black waving things, like being “waves” for Moana. But they are just walking and waving things around. Same for Elsa and people (also stressed in black) waving ice crystals. I’m not sure what you would call them. But you can’t see the people at all so I would not call them performers. I certainly wouldn’t stake out a close spot to see them. The parade floats are super high. Getting super close is not necessary in my opinion. In fact being too close makes them harder to see because they are so tall.

This. I don’t care about spoilers, so I watched the full parade on YouTube. There are definitely no ground performers, except Tinkerbell.
Just as others have mentioned, the only other people on the ground are waving props high in the air, and they themselves are supposed to fade into the background.

Also another point about being a little further away is you get to see the floats longer and therefore take it all in. It’s a scientific fact that the closer you are to something the faster it goes by your field of vision. For example when we saw it, we were right up against the rope and at first I was excited about it because I could literally touch the floats. But they went by so fast I couldn’t take it all in. It sounds weird but it is true. Things pass your field of vision faster up close. Science and Disney.

We were able to see a decent amount of it from the far side of the Plaza lawn where we were standing. We went as close to the hub as we could. We couldn't see the ground details but it worked for us since we weren't expecting to see the parade

Did you have enough time to enjoy the snacks/drinks before heading to the spot to watch the parade? What time did you end up getting to your viewing spot?

We checked in around 8pm. We had plenty of time to relax before heading to the lawn. I think we went over around 915pm. It was blazing hot that night so we went back and forth to get a snack while waiting. The dessert/snacks were not amazing but to us it was worth every penny for the spot to see the fireworks. No one was pushing and shoving. We had plenty of space around to actually enjoy the show. Most folks moved up and we just hung near the back. I would do it again in a heart beat.
