Hi.

I'm seriously considering booking the Dessert Party for me, DH to be and DS's 8 and 5 for our next trip (it will be our honeymoon)

Is it worth it? Are the views for Celebrate the Magic and the fireworks good from there?

Does it get booked up quickly and will I need to make sure I get it booked at 180 days?

Are there any days to avoid?

Thanks in advance :-)

Yes it books up fast.

Is it worth it. Hard question.

I like it for something special. But it is not a must-do. Its nice space its good to have all the carbs and coffee there. But the deserts are not as good as say dinner deserts on the cruise.

Yes, excellent view of the fireworks. We found it worth it for 1 night just for the fireworks alone. The desserts are good, but they do run out. We definitely left stuffed, though!

We love it. This will be our third time in four trips.

It was our Christmas gift to my Inlaws, who will be joining us at WDW.
Our travel agent booked it for us... A party of 11 ...at the 180 day mark and got our first choice of dates.

We really enjoyed it. Its not an every trip event for us. But I would recommend it. It was so nice not to have to fight for a spot on mainstreet and sit for ever waiting.

My wife and I did this last Friday. The weather was sketchy so the dessert party was in world showcase and we then moved out for a great firework viewing spot.

The desserts were average. For the price, I was underwhelmed. However, the great viewing spot did offset that a bit. Will I do it again? Nah. Ok for a one time? Sure.

Edit: my mind was shot...returning from vacation. My comments were about the EPCOT part, not MK. Sorry!

This is a different dessert party, and this one is almost ubiquitously rated low. The MK one is rated by most people much higher.

Right.

The OP was asking about the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party in the Magic Kingdom.

If this is something you think you might want to do, CALL reservations at your 180-day mark. They will help you decide which day to select.

FYI - just make sure you don't book on a hard ticket (MNSSHH or MVMCP) night unless you are planning to go to the party. I read last year of a family booking a night at the Halloween party and didn't know. He wasn't able to buy tix for the party (it was sold out) and also wasn't able to go to the dessert party. Granted this was last year and MANY things have changed so maybe they don't do parties on hard ticket nights.

I went to the dessert party last Dec. I thought it was great to not have to fight crowds on main st and had wonderful view of fireworks and castle show. Tinker flew right over my head. I do have a gluten allergy son wasn't able to partake in many of the desserts but they looked good.
