I'd like to visit MK on Nov. 12. The park closes at 7 that night for MVMCP, so I know it will be crowded closer to that time. Will there be a significant impact on crowds levels at park opening? We'd like to be there at rope drop then hop over to HS later so we can see the Osborne lights. However, if crowds are massive early in the day because of the party, I want to alter my plans.

It will be the exact opposite.

The morning crowds on a party day are always way lower than on a non-party day.

In general, crowds are lower on the mornings of MVMCP. So you're plan of going to MK in the morning and hopping later in the day is a good one!

Awesome! That's what I was hoping for. I'm bringing several teenagers who have never been to Disney World before and will likely never get the chance to return, so I want them to experience the MK classic rides!

I've always found that to be true. I'm going December 5 to 11, I have my MK days planned for Sunday & Thursday, which are both MVMCP days. I'm going to do MVMCP on Tuesday night. The opposite is also true, non party days are very crowded. I've seen MSEP and Wishes many times, so I don't need to go see it.
