Magic Kingdom - Can you do it all?

Is it possible to do every ride and see the shows over a 2-day span at the MK? We'll be there from park open to park close both days (one of which is an evening EMH night). Any thoughts?

The crowds and time of year would really affect this happening. Even with low crowds, I don't think you could do EVERYTHING - shows and rides, too. Maybe I'm wrong, but there are lots of things to do. You could definitely hit the high points with two days even in crowds if you use your FP's wisely!

You could probably get most of them in, but those are going to be a long two days! if you've been before you'll know which ones you want to do. If you're travelling without little kids you probably don't need to do some of them anyway.

Well, that would depend on the time of year, how many people in your party, if some are kids who walk slower, and probably other variables I forgot. You probably could do it, I am not sure how fun it would be if it was packed. During packed times of year, lunch can take over an hour. And to see a parade means getting a spot beforehand, not jus the time it takes to see the parade pass you by. I would look at a guidebook that has all the attractions of MK, pick the favorites for each person in the party and go from there. Commando touring can be tough and feel more like boot camp than a vacation. So aspire high and aim low and you will probably be fine. Oh, and EMH nights, especially during peak seasons like Spring Break, summer and Christmas can be a crowded nightmare that starts at lunch and goes past midnight. So don't save any key attractions you want to see for EMH nights because crowds don't necessarily wind down once the official EMH begins. On an EMH day the park can literally be open for 16 hours. I love MK but I cannot imagine logging 16 hours in even if I was trying to see everything, I'm too old for that kind of thing! I hope your trip is great and you do see it all!

There's "everything"... and "EVERYTHING".

If you include all the MAJOR attractions, PLUS some I only occasionally do...
Tom Sawyer's Island, Swiss Family Treehouse, Tomorrowland Speedway, the NON-dark rides of Fantasyland, Toontown Fair (all of the rides & "houses") the Character Meet 'n Greets...
PLUS all the SHOPS, Restaurants, musical and entertainment "shows" (Dapper Dans, Cinderellabration, Sword in the Stone, etc.), the two Parades and Wishes... There is a LOT to experience.

Can you do MUCH of MK in two days?

Sure, and even do the attractions you really enjoy, several times.

The BEST TIP is to arrive EARLY (at least 20-40 minutes before the opening time, EMH or not).
You will be earliest into the park, and can do more in the first hour (or 2 or 3) than at any other part of the day.

We spent 2 days in MK and I don't think we saw everything. We did hit the high points, but I think that's about it. I guess the best thing to do is plan other trips to DW.

I was at Mk with my GF 2 years ago in May and I think between 10am and 6pm. I'd say we just about saw everything in one day. The only rides we passed up were Cinderellas Carousel, the Indy Speedway and Timekeeper. But we did spend a lot of time in the shops, had a great lunch and rode Splash Mountain 4 time.

I geuss age and group size has a lot to do with it. We're 22 and 20 and don't have any kids to take with us so I'm sure that speeds us up. On our next trip we plan on going commando and doing all 4 parks in 4 days then spending the next 4 just exploring and taking it easy.

You can SAY you did "everything", but it would be virtually IMPOSSIBLE to ride all of "big rides" AND the slow-loading rides like Peter Pan, Dumbo, Mad Hatter, and the Toontown rides... or spend much time on Tom Sawyer's Island and/or ride the slow-loading Steamship, or to see both of the parades and Wishes... under the time/conditions you listed (not even THERE after dark).

it depends upon the time you go. We do MK in 1 day (all shows, all attractions and some stores plus all the characters we see.)
and no we don't rush we just time things perfectly ike going in sept when people are either to poor from shopping for school clothes or their kids just started school

We spent 2 days there 2 weeks ago and hit pretty much everything. We did not do the Hall of Presidents or Tom Sawyer's Island, but rode Space Mountain probably 6 or 7 times. It helps quite a bit to get there early and plan on staying all day both days.

If you go during a slow time of year, and stay from opening to closing, you can probably do almost everything in MK in two full days - with the exception of shopping in every store & eating at every restaurant of course .

However, I would go with a well planned schedule to minimize wait times. Hit Fantasyland as fast as your legs can move when the rope drops, riding the things that are slow loaders first. For example, get on Peter Pan, Dumbo & Snow White before you do Small World or Cinderella's Carousel.

As a commando I can tell you it can and has been done. Are you sure you want to though? It's good to leave things for next trip or so I keep telling myself. I almost believe it too.

Our last trip we spent two days and mk, and this trip we are also planning on spending two days. I am sure we will miss some, but I think that overall you can see the vast majority of it in two days. We are planning on stopping mid day to go back to the hotel and rest also.

Highly doubtful. You could probably come fairly close if you planned it out so you did the more popular attractions in the morning when you first get to the park. They're not quite as busy at that time.

I don't think I would want to try. I'm kind of a spur of the moment kind of person when I'm at WDW but if you want to attempt it, more power to you.

I think it is possible with a good touring plan and going commando depending upon when you go. We went last year at the end of August and we could have probably ridden most of the rides in one day alone.

Our first MK day we did over 20 attractions including Tom Sawyers Island and a break at mid day. Two other days there Mk was even less crowded. Still we didn't see every attraction. We did ride some things like Peter Pan around 10 times in 2.5 days worth of MK time and the kids opened the Barnstormer each day we were there. (DS8 got to ride with Goofy twice in front.)

My question is that some of the attractions at MK seem to be mutually exclusive. Things like the Steam Boat, Aladins Magic Carpet or the Tiki Birds just to name a few would have less of an appeal to people wanting to ride Space Mountain or BTMRR. If you really wanted to see every attraction in MK and went during a slow time I think you could do it but I personally wouldn't do it. We used TGM and our longest wait in line the whole trip at MK was less than 3 minutes long and we still didn't do everything. Instead we did the things we really wanted to do multiple times.

BTW I think DS8 was ready to disavow us for taking him on Small World twice in one night. DS6 on the other hand loved it. Of course he also road Spaceship Earth 6-7 times during the trip and was begging for more. Poor DW was the one that ended up taking him on most of those trips.

Hmm.. that's a good one! I personally think that you can. If you really are going to be there from open to close AND with EMH on one day, you can. There are a good amount of attractions at the MK, but not too many shows. It will be alot of work, but if you are comitted enough, you can do it!

It depends on what you consider everything.

If it's all the shows and attractions, including the sword and Cinderellabration, yes, you can do it in 2 days.

If you count listening to the Barborshop Quartet, riding the double decker bus, and waking tink and every little activity you can think of, then no,

I'm just basically talking rides/shows/parades/fireworks. BTW, PoC and Riverboat will be closed when we are there. We usually spend a bit of time shopping, but never really much because our budget doesn't allow for much!

We skipped parades and did very little shopping and were able to do alot of MK in two days. No kids with us though. That would make it hard.

First day we left park at 4 PM, came back for dinner at CRT and rode some Fantasyland rides after dinner. During the parade there were few riders. Left before the fireworks (saw them every night from Polynesian but you should stay for them!). Second day was Valentine's day and we left again around 4 PM to make dinner at DTD.

FAST PASS FAST PASS FAST PASS -- only way you can do it. We didn't really commando it. We took time to notice the pavement changes, claw marks in Country Bear Jamboree, etc... and sat down for lunch at two counter service restaurants. River Boat was closed and we did not make it to Tom Sawyer Island.

Still, I am sure we missed something and next time I WANT to see the parades and wander Main Street more! Two days and a not TOO hurried pace will allow you time to see alot -- but try to enjoy all the aspects of WDW and hope to come back another time! I wish I was there now!!!

We go to MK in 2 days and do mostly everything. There is somethings we don't do like Presidents hall, Tom Sawyer Island. We do all the shops and all the BIG major rides. We usually start in Adventureland and go counter clockwise to the haunted mansion. We do all shows and rides. Then the next day we start from where we finished and continue till we are done. We've done this 2 times now and we get things done and splash mountain x3.
