Hi,

I have a question regarding the mk bridal session. Does that only include the portrait session in front of the Cinderella Castle? Or it includes pictures taken at other places in the theme park as well?

Also, can I hire other vendor or I am restricted to the ones offered by Disney only?

Thanks,
Mabel

The Magic Kingdom Photo session is only available through Disney Photography. It inculdes pictures in and around Cinderella's Castle and the Carousel although sometiems a photographer will take pictures elsewhere to, i.e. the teacups or tomorrowland bridge

Could someone explain more about this? How much does it cost? Is it done before or after the ceremony, same day, different day? Does the groom go too, or is it just for the bride? It's something I would love to be able to do! How do people get the MK pics with the fireworks in the background? Do they do the portrait time when the park is open and Wishes is going on, or do they do it when the park is closed?

Thanks

The MK bridal portrait session is for both the bride and groom in wedding clothes. It can be taken the day of the wedding or after, the only prerequsite is that you are a Disney bride. It is done first thing in the morning (545am and I think 630am) before the park opens. I have not seen any shots with fireworks in the magic kingdom, but Illuminations dessert parties at EPCOT might be what you are seeing. Those are done with your wedding photographer (Disney or not). The Magic Kingdom portrait session is only though Disney. The cost is something like $800. We are having our session a few days after our DFTW. There is also the option of and EPCOT bridal portait in the am before EPCOT opens. This is only for Disney brides as well.

Thanks, it did help. So I'm assuming the MK session is in addition to the session that is included in your package? Is the dessert party at Epcot part of the package for an intimate one, or just a custom one, or neither? I know I have seen fireworks ones with the castle, though...am I imagining things??

You can hire Disney to create a custom fireworks display just for you. That is what my husband and I did last October for our 20th wedding anniversary.

We had a Fairy Tale Weddings custom vow renewal ceremony inside the Wedding Pavilion. We could have had our fireworks go off at the end of our ceremony, but instead we chose to have them go off at the end of our dinner party.

You see, our dinner party was being held inside the Disney-MGM Studiios Theme Park. We thought surprising our guests with a custom fireworks display would be a fun way to end their evening. Our fireworks were set to go off at approximately 2 o'clock in the morning, and when they did, they took everyone by surprise. Disney's Pyrotechnics Team did a fantastic job with our custom display (it was set to music).

We have many photos (and video) of our fireworks display, but so far I have only shared one photo on the 'net: click here. As soon as I fiinish my two trip reports (you can find them by doing a search on my name), I plan on sharing more photos and (hopefully) a little video.

Again, Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings folks can do just about whatever your heart desires. Don't be afraid to ask them.

None of it is included with either the custom or the intimate. But for a fee, Disney can do about anything. The MK bridal shoot is awesome though. One of my pics from the shoot is below. Well worth the money, in my opinion.
