We check out at CBR on 1/17 (MLK day). Our flight isn't until 6:30 pm, so we were planning to leave for the airport around 3. Right now we have park reservations at MK with an 11:30 Topolino's reservation. Is that the worst idea? I really wanted a second day at MK, but with transportation to and from Topolino's, are we going to lose too much time?

I'd suggest eating at MK so you aren't rushing around.

As much as i love Toppolinos (it has become one of our top dining meals) , I wouldn't do this. You don't say if you have a car or need to take the bus. At best, you will arrive at MK at 8. If taking the bus, you need to leave MK by 10:30. IMHO, that's not worth the time. Even if you have a car, going through TTC, will still be close to an hour with the drive.
Agree with above, eat in MK and enjoy the extra time there.

If you were staying at BLT with a car....maybe. Buy anywhere else is so much transportation time. It doesn't make sense.

No car.

Le sigh. I'm going to look and see if I can manage to pick up a breakfast there for a different day. Maybe our rest day or our Epcot day. I really want to eat there!

I was planning a park day on getaway day on Christmas day (we had similar 6pm flight), but when I got a Topolinos reservation for 9am, I was like, nope, we can do that park another day.

We did Topolinos on our getaway day in January earlier this year and found it to be a great way to end a trip. This time we'll have more time to kill, but didn't want to have an already diminished park day to get further reduced by a breakfast reservation.

i would encourage to do it on your rest day. Have only done dinner on 3 trips and LOVED it.
Reviews of their breakfast have been amazing.
Enjoy!

What are you doing to kill time? We could easily not do MK on our departure day and sleep in, check out, walk over to Riviera for breakfast, just not sure what else to do afterward (and kinda sad to lose that second day at MK).

I'm keeping the Topolino's reservation for now, but if I can pick one up on a different day, that would be perfect. If we can't find it for a different day then we'll have to decide which is more important I suppose!

Well with ours being Christmas day, we figured we could resort hop and enjoy the decorations and stuff. What we would have done the day we moved AK to, but now with less time 😂

I am glad to see this. We are doing a Topolino's breakfast on arrival day. We are driving, so don't need to worry about flight problems.

If you can switch it to a really early time, it's not a terrible idea - go to breakfast, bus to MK, bus back to CBR - but if you really want to maximize your time in MK that day, I would try to change the reservation.
