Hello All, I am going to the magic kingdom this Friday, and I am so excited! I don't go there often because my family's not a big fan of the Disney magic :sad2: But I love it there so I want to make it really special and have a ton of fun because who knows if I'll ever go back! Anyway, I have a few questions...

1. Tom Sawyer's Island: When does it open up? Are they still doing the paint brush hunt? If so, where can I find one?

2. Space Mountain: Never been on it, heard it was fun...but scary?

3. Hidden Treasures: Last time I went to MK my family searched for these "Hidden Treasures", we only found one of them that we had heard about online (The wedding ring) but of course they paved over it. I know a few more, but which ones have you found?

4. Best time to Hop in line for BTMRR and Buzz light year??

5. Best resteraunt to go to?

Thanks!

I'll do my best to answer your questions.

1. I have no clue. We've never even thought about visiting Tom Sawyer's Island, sorry.

2. Space Mountain is amazing, it's one of my favorites. It's darker now, after the referb, so you can't see the track at all. It's not super dark, though. It's a little jerky and there are sudden turns and drops. I don't find it scary, but that's just me.

3. We just do Hidden Mickey hunts. We've found quite a few.

4. This depends. How are you going about your day? How crowded will it be? How important are these rides to you? Usually, we just look for low wait times and/or Fastpass them.

5. The "best restauraunt" varies from person to person. TS or CS? What kinds of food do you and your family like? But I can tell you we love the corn dog nuggets at Casey's. This really depends, though.

Hope I was able to help! :goodvibes

1. I go there every time we visit, I'm fairly sure that it opens when the park does, and closes at dusk.

2. It's not scary at all! (Well at least for me.) It's an indoor roller coaster with a space theme, and it's lots of fun. (My 7 year old brother goes on it and loves it, and he is scared of everything.)

3. I only found the ring in front of the Haunted Mansion, and I haven't heard of anymore, but good luck on your search!

4. Get to Buzz early, that one usually has the longest lines. (Or grab a fast-pass for Buzz and go to BTMRR.

5. Counter Service wise: Pecos Bills
Sit-Down: Crystal Palace/Liberty Tree

Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

1. Never been, but I think they are still doing the whole paintbrush thing... Or so Ive heard.

2. I'm planning on going on that next time I go. I have never been on it either, but my friend says: It creates the illusion of going faster than it really is, and it turns and drops suddenly, but if you go on it, you'll love it and don't worry about being scared. Another friend told me it wasnt half as bad as the splash mountain drop (big one) so if you can handle that your okay.

3. Try searching for hidden Mickeys. They are sooo fun and there are tons of them. There is a book about them too, and I think they sell it at bookstores. If not, I know for sure they sell it at disney world gift shops. Also, I don't consider these hidden treasures but (I think its in MK) there is a shop where if you are the first people to ask that day, you can ask them to wake up tink and they will let you go over to a little treasure box and "wake her up" I don't know excactly how though..? :confused3

4. It kinda depends. Get a fastpass for them. If it's busy that day, the 3 mountains are going to have long waits so get a fastpass for BTMRR!! I LOVE THAT RIDE!

5. My opinion is Cosmic Ray's. It's not really a resturaunt though, more like sit down fastfood. LOL

Thanks!

1. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/magic-kingdom/attractions/tom-sawyer-island/

2. I LOVE Space Mountain! I've been on it before and after the referb, and it's basically the same. It is darker in some parts now though. It's a great ride, fast, dark, space-y(:

3. I've never heard of Hidden Treasures before, but I found this link http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/park/hiddentreasures.asp

4. BTMRR: As soon as you arrive
Buzz Lightyear: Either early morning or later at night

5. I'm assuming you're talking about Quick Service, because you'll need reservations for Sit-Down restaurants. I'd recomend Cosmic Rays. It has everything from sandwhiches to chicken to soups and salads to burgers. Plus, I love listening to Sonny Eclipse, Cosmic Rays DJ(:

Thank you all :) For the people that recommended Cosmic Rays, I've actually been there the last time I went to Magic Kingdom! It was a school Field Trip so I was with all my friends-So many memories there, especially with the DJ, lol :) Maybe I'll head back there :woohoo:
