For some bizarre reason we almost never spend time in Adventureland when we're in The Magic Kingdom. I would love to hear any favorites of this area from well traveled "Adventureland Connoisseurs". pirate:

I love the idea of Adventureland, but we always seem to gravitate towards our good old favorites in Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Frontierland & Liberty Square.

Thanks for the info!

Also, any area of MK that your group just never gets around to??

We usually spend less time in Adventureland than other lands as well. The one land that we often skip, and other times visit very briefly however is Mickey's Toontown Fair.

Yeah, we seem to pass by that area too. Hmmm, I wonder if others feel the same way....... :rolleyes1

we wouldn't think of leaving the park without riding pirates of the carribean, jungle cruise, and aladdin. we always get the frozen orange juice/ice cream thing behind aladdin. we also like the shops in adventureland and look for captain hook. the treehouse is nostalgic, if not exciting.

I LOVE Adventureland! pirate:
There are pirates and jungles and tiki birds and treehouses and dole whips! What more could you ask for? :thumbsup2

If I had it my way, we'd hit Adventureland first every single time we go to the MK. There's just some kind of ambience there that I love. I even have to climb the Swiss Family Robinson Tree house every time we make a trip to WDW. I'll admit that I'm not a huge Aladdin fan because it seemed so weird to me to go back after a few years away and find this ride plopped right in that land. It's a fun ride, though.

My family always wants to go to Tomorrowland first, which is my LAST choice of lands. How funny, right? I'm trying to convince them that we can get a Buzz Fast Pass and then just go right back to Adventureland and make mom happy. ::yes:: The good thing is that my husband's all-time favorite ride is POTC. pirate: I even like the Tiki Bird show - anyone else?

I've never had a dole whip, but it seems to me that it needs to go on my "must do" list for this trip (I'm going back on 3/3). :woohoo:

It's always great to read how others like the same land as I do!

It was our 2 yr olds first visit and he LOVED the carpet ride. We rode it three times. Dh took our oldest to the Swiss tree house and timed it just right and got pictures of me and 2DS high up on the carpet. I personally loved that ride as well.

We also hit JUngle Cruise and Pirates. I love Adventureland

We always head straight to SM and BTM then back track to Adventureland. A trip would not be complete with Jungle Cruise and POTC.

I love the Jungle Cruise. The CM jokes are so bad (in a good way). :goodvibes
And I love to take first timers on it. My DDad had a great time when I took him. I think he enjoyed that much more than the tiki birds. ;)

I adore adventureland. I can not function without my Dole whips....
They also have incredible egg rolls there....Pirates is an awesome attraction, and I would DIE without the jungle cruise!!!!

Favorite MK list...
1. Adventureland
2. Liberty Square
3. Frontierland
3. Tomorrowland
4. Main Street
5. Mickey's Toowntown Fair
6. Fantasyland

We never go to Adventure Land. I really don't know why we don't. So I guess I am of no help..LOL

During our December we actually spent quite a bit of time in Adventureland. We rode Jungle Cruise and Pirates about three times each during our stay. We also browsed the shops, sat down and had a dole whip, and caught a showing of Tiki Birds. I just like the whole atmosphere and theme of that area. It's a nice place to relax. Lots of nooks and out of the way spaces.

I love the idea of it, I just don't tend to "hang out" there. Lol. The only thing I go on is POTC, and then we'll go somewhere else.

I do really like Adventureland, but we don't spend as much time there as DW and I would like. DS6 and DD3 prefer Fantasyland, Toontown and Tomorrow Land. (DS6 is a huge Buzz fan)

DW and I make sure we get in POTC and JC. POTC is just about our favorite ride.

Tiki is a nice place to spend for a break. Though the kids did like the Totems and the Carpets, not huge fans of the Treehouse.

That's the order of my faves too!

We really enjoy Adventureland and love the idea of it. I think a themed resteraunt would really bring more people over there. The theme is wonderful there, but of all the lands, I think it shows its age the most. JC is my family's favorite and we would spend more time there if we could have a meal. pirate: (I know there is a place to eat there, but everytime we've been, it is closed) They just need to update it, I believe (and go back to the old TIKI birds :wizard:

We love Adventureland! We cannot go to the MK without riding Pirates and stopping for a Dole Whip! It never seems to be too crowded. Now I know why. :rolleyes1

It seems like it's just not visited as much as the other lands - maybe because there are no "newer" attractions there.

Quite a few people (myself included) are not sure why they tend to not spend much time there. Hmmm, very curious.

The Treehouse!

We haven't been there in a while, but that made me want to go back, lol
