Hello!!! - I have a question today and it isnt about booking my holiday :lmao:

We were delighted to see that after we arrive in Florida MK is open untill 12 and 1am but I did notice that this starts at the same time as Mickeys not so scary halloween party.

Does anyone know if this closing time is only if you have a party ticket and does the ultimate ticket automatically give you a party ticket or do you have to pay the $45 for one?

Alice..... if you go onto www.wdwinfo.com you will find the park hours there.
I can't see anything that goes past either 7 p.m. or 9 p.m. for the Magic Kingdom hours though. Looks like the late hours are just for Mickey's not so scarey party.

And sorry, the ultimate ticket doesn't give you access to the party.

Sorry, halloween ticket only but if you haven't been, it's well worth it.

We're going for a weekend break in September without child, it's that good!

The official closing time on the nights of the parties is 7pm or earlier, although the parties are only on selected nights and you need to buy a seperate ticket, it is not included in any other general admission tickets.

Gees can you believe that this has just caused an argument between me and my friend James!

I told him what you said and that you have to have a ticket to stay till 1am and he says "no you dont those are the hours that the park is open to they wouldnt say that if you have to buy a ticket!"

He wont listen so I may have to phone Disney just to shut him up

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just rang Disney and they confirmed that yes you do have to have a Mickeys not so halloween party to stay in the park untill 1am....and getting that info out of the woman on the phone was like getting blood out of a stone because she just didnt follow what I was saying at all.

I rang James and told him...think he will now sulk for a week.

Would you say it was worth paying the extra for the party? is it really the sort of thing for adults or is it more for kids?

i rember the days when the parks were open till 1 am.was along day from 8am with kids in pram.who did we used to do it

For us its worth every penny, done it 3 times now at WDW and once at Disneyland CA. I think it all depends on your personalities. I am 40 year old but think nothing of dressing up in a outfit and being a kid again for the evening absolutely love it. Parks are quieter (busier nearer to halloween night) and fireworks brilliant, different parade and the park is all trimmed.
Next week I am dressing as a pirate for Pirates and Princess party, been told its not quite as good as MNSSHP but we will find out soon.

book it !!!!! we did and we had a fantastic time :cool1: we are going again next month as well

If staying onsite at a Disney resort the MK is open 3 hours later on each Sunday in September for resort guests only.

Claire ;)

Hey

We are also thinking of going to the party, gonna get dressed up and have some fun... Do they sell beer in the MK for the party?

Oh getting close now, cannot wait!!:cool1: :cool1:

Thanks everyone, I may see what my friends say about going because I think I would like to, I mean if your going to be there you may as well take advantage of these things. Tickets are quite pricey though, when you consider how much you are already paid for disney tickets etc....can you only get them through Disney?

I spoke to James again about the 1am thingy etc and he said that the woman on the phone had got it wrapped around her neck because the days I was asking about werent days that Mickey was having his party, just days when the park opened till 1am -- I cant believe that, its sooooo cool! -- wish we were flying home on a Sunday so that we could have one more really long really magical day at Disney before coming home to boring reality

I dont know how much Halloween tickets are but Pirate party I paid about $35 each after annual pass discount. So I guess they are about $40 for halloween, personally i think £20 is nothing or what you get. You can enter the park from 4pm so you get about 8 hours in the park, if you pick a good day then the rides have no lines, we stayed on big thunder mountain 3 times with only a few getting on each time. We also got a great photo posted to us free but I believe this has been stopped now.
I have never seen them for sale anywhere but Disney.
