Magic in the Kingdom 2012! BIG 2/16/2014 FINAL UPDATE!

another great set of updates! I like the hazy firework picture. It is different. I have found I have forgotten something a time or two as well. so frustrating, but heavy back packs are too.
Love the Merida dresses and the switcharoo too. That was awesome they let you right back in.

Pirate league looks so fun, Claire won't do it. maybe in a few years she will give in. I'll show her your pictures too.

I've heard the original Imagination was much better. I'm sorry I never experienced it. When did it change?

The original one closed towards the end of 1998, the current one opened in 2002. There was on in between that people really hated that totally took out Figment. I never saw that one. My Dad would say I was lucky I didn't.

I Love the pics from the Merida Meet and greet. those dresses are beautiful!

The Pirate League makeover turned out great, Katie looked so pretty. I agree with others, you are going to have to fight those boys off with a stick! LOL

The original Imagination was just amazing. It's not even a formal shell of itself anymore and the store at the end is just embarrassing right now. Hope they bring it back to its full glory!

Also, with the current Imagination ride, you don't get anything close to the essence of Figment's personality. And, they totally left out Dreamfinder whom everyone loved. There is no comparison to the original attractions. One of my favorite attractions was the 3D show "Magic Journeys" originally housed in the Pavillion's 3D theater, later went to MK for awhile and then it was gone for good. I just loved that show and it was so full of, well&.imagination. And, also all the interactive areas upstair were so special. And, yes the store is ridiculous. I hope some day, it will get back to it's true essence. Not every pavilion has to encase thrill rides, especially this one.

Janet, Katie has grown up so much and she's just beautiful!!! Watch out! Also, your photos and costumes are gorgeous!

Thanks Jen! I finally wised up and have put my tripod plate on the tripod itself. DUH. Of course, I used to just leave it on the camera all the time but my strap attaches in that spot now.

And I really expected to join the line at the end the second time, but was oh so grateful the CM told us to just join the group again! It was really my favorite character meet of the entire trip.

Keep working on Claire. I bet she'd end up having a great time at PL!

I love hearing the affection everyone had for that original attraction. So sad I never got to experience it.

AH yay so many updates to catch up on!

I LOVE your Christmas ears. I need to get to WDW in December. Maybe next year!

I did the same with Wreck-It Ralph in January. We didn't stop to meet them because we hadn't seen the movie yet and then I was really sad we hadn't. I was really glad that they were still out in September.

The Osborne lights are really amazing. I'm kinda obsessed with them.

I love the pictures of them with Merida in their gowns. And that was sweet of the CM to let you not wait as long!

LOVE the pirate outfits! They look great and oh gosh Katie looks even more grown up!

Hey stranger! How's married life?

Thanks for the compliment on Katie. I agree that we are in for so much trouble with that girl! Maybe we shouldn't let her date until Timmy is home from school and we can assign her 2 brothers as chaperones on all her dates!

Married life is good... nothing to complain, just wish I had more free time, this whole working full time versus running my own business kinda sucks. I definitely preferred my old schedule, but I digress, can't complain at least I have a good job that pays well.

Can't wait to see more pictures, having Disney withdrawal since Adam and I both weren't feeling the best for most of our time in the world

I'm not sure if I posted before, but I am just amazed at how grown up yet childlike your Katie can be from one picture to the next. Looking at her in the Merida outfits, she's a little girl, but then the Pirate get up- a beautiful young lady! Yet, then she's making a hook with her finger and she's back to the little girl! How does that happen?

She left for Disneyland yesterday. Can't wait for her new trip report from the original Disney park/Magic Kingdom! It is so much fun out there in California. A real storybook and nostalgic feel.

Hey everyone!

I haven't abandoned ship, I promise!

We got back just over a week ago, but got plunged into real life quite quickly, picking Timmy up at school, attending 2 choir concerts and nudging Katie through her last week of school. Not to mention all that Christmas shopping I still had to do!

I'm getting there though and hope to get going on this again very soon, probably right after Christmas. (Still a lot of wrapping to do here!) And then I'll start my new trip report on our oh so magical trip to Disneyland!

I hope Finally08 is having an awesome time at WDW this week!
