We have only sailed in inside rooms, I like to call them caves. We will upgrade to a Verandah if they offer a airline discount and we don't have to pay more money. So far no discount.

 I'm with you as far as upgrading one day but I couldn't have done more this time with ALL our extended family going. But maybe one day! And ppl always think if you're in the airlines or FAA, you get a discount. Nope, nada, never have! But hey, at least WE get to go!:banana::banana:

9 weeks from right now, will be sitting on the patio at Fishlips watching cruise ships go out to sea, saying "in 24 hours that will be us!!!" Cant's wait 9 weeks can't go by fast enough!!!

I usually do get a discount. A good one at that, but with DCL they are hit and miss. One of my friends at work got one for a cruise on DCL and it was nice. Half off the rate and pre paid tips. Nice. At WDw we get 40% off, but with the rising rom rates there and since we like to go for at least two weeks a year we had to go to DVC, but that is a whole other story for another time. You are so right at least we get to go, and that's what matters. For instance, we are on the Hawaii cruise. That thing has been sold out since day obesity cabins pop up every now and then. I already know there will be no discount on that one. This one I may get lucky. We shall see.

 You KNOW IT!!!:)

Well some good news for those of us who may qualify for some type of discount. The Western that sails right before us has at least what we call an Interline rate. It is for a 5B and is 1824.68. That is just under half off for two people. So here is hoping for our cruise.

Wow! That's great Alan! For years we were told thru' an interliners website that FAA could..but to no avail..So we just take all the pins we get, an any extra discounts and run for it when we can! But kudos for your scoring all your discounts! A dollar saved is another dollar for Disney...:)

I just hope the same happens for our cruise. If this was our cruise I would have been on the phone with DCL right away. It would have saved me about $150.00. It is one of the few discounts they will still do and refund existing reservations after final payment.

Crash anytime :thumbsup2 . Maureen has already made ressie for the verandah. :lmao: Don't forget to bring a Mickey Bar for me. :rotfl::lmao: We should meet up at the Hyatt the night before but sorry no Mickey Bars are on the menu.

I think they should start carrying them at the Disney store there in the airport. Don't they have a freezer?:rotfl2:
I will be the one up at the pool looking like I don't have a care in the world. Just yell "Hey is Laura in here?" :rotfl: I will also have my Pirates lanyard with me since this newbie won't be getting a free one on the ship.

Has anyone found out anything yet on how the boarding time has been working? Are they going to let us leave the airport early and get to port earlier before our "time" that we chose? I think that changed on the 2nd right?:confused3

We do not get in until around 8pm. Are you still going to be at the pool that late? I was thinking getting a drink on the lobby level. Do you want me to bring an extra lanyard for you? You can be an honorary castaway club member. :cool1: We have a several extra lanyards from old cruises.

I have not seen any reports regarding the busses yet. If anyone else has please chime in. what I saw was the only thing that happen on 8/2 was the port was opened at 11am. Anyone showing up early was not allowed to park or enter. After that is was as normal. There was NO check of what time you signed up for. One cruiser reported they showed up at 11am and went right in even though they had a 2pm checkin time. So much for DCL enforcing their own rules. Hopefully we'll hear about the busses. My guess right now is that the first bus will will not be leaving the airport until 10-10:15am. We'll see.

Well, that backs up the information I received when I called about times. I was told they are only using the times for them to have a rough idea of when people are arriving, but they were not holding anyone to their times.

I will SOO be 'peeking' in if I get to deck 8 for any reason! Hence, don't know what's on deck 8 (as she's giggling to herself), but I do enjoy seeing 'how the other side lives' (now really laughing). Our TA posted a pic I believe of the higher level suite...isn't it funny, not a desire for this family. Really, just not us..(yes, you'll be able to tell when you see/hear us).

Kind of like the World I guess. We've toured almost all of the resorts, ate and stayed in many of them, and our all time favorite? CBR. Just fits us. Love the biking, boating, atmosphere, romance, and caribbean theme. Just simple, fun, and us!

We had a cat 4 room on deck 8 on the wonder but that's just because there was 5 of us and I didn't know about inside / outside cabin.
When we booked for the magic I couldn't believe that we were cheaper having 2 rooms an inside and outside cabin on deck 6 than one room on deck 8  also on deck 8 there is a lot of noise that comes from deck 9 from the pool areas etc in my opinion cat 3 + rooms would be better on deck 6/7. I would love to have a look in to the suites though and if I was offered un upgrade for a suite then I wouldn't turn it down  but I doubt that will happen:wizard:

Good morning fellow cruisers. It is that time of the week again. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

weeks to go to the Magic. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

:confused3 Go figure, right? I've never understood how getting 2 rooms was cheaper and in our case, 3 rooms! I checked pricing on line and with the TA way back and this was the best route to go. Although not sure I'd want ALL of us in the same suite...maybe 5...but 7 whew...it'd have to be a pretty big suite..:rotfl: Do they make suites for 7?
And like you, I'd take an upgrade, but we're not GTY, and since we've got sideways rooms, we'll take 'em!

And hey, we can be 'peeking' down those halls pretty soon!:yay:

9...NOT to be confused with 10!!! One less than 10!! Nine..rhymes with FINE!!
Really? Do y'all realize in 9 Weeks alot can happen? We can finish our FE's, buy those last minute clothes, get sd cards, camera batteries, shoe holders, flashlights, little clocks, cups2go, magnetic sheets, finish up decorations, book last minute 'happies', save 'tip' dollars, make thank you notes, do alot more cruise stuff, and then of course, sadly just do 'ordinary' life things!!!

And if this doesn't get some of us movin'...:rotfl:

This chik is just ...about....ready!:banana::banana::banana:

Thought this morning I'd share some pixiedust:...Love that Dis'ers LOVE to share, and I tried sharing this on our FB cruise board. No takers...so if anyone needs a size 7-8 girls pirate costume, pm me and you're welcome to it! Oh, and my 11dd only wore it once! This is what it looks like:

:TAKEN: .....wish I had more to share!

:goodvibes and I do have a question this morning. Sorry to be on here so much, but I'm 'thinking, thinking' this morning...

Is there (or am I missing it) a place on the DCL website where you can check your 'account' status? What I mean by this is your 'financial' account. Ie: We're paid in full, but shouldn't somewhere there be a place where your upcoming charges (excursions, Palo, etc), your OBC, and gifts ordered be documented? Even though we booked through a TA, wouldn't the DCL site show all that? Being formally in finance, it's kind of driving me crazy that I can't see our account anywhere. Or do I contact the TA for this? And how would they know what we've booked ahead of time?..just curious!:)
