Hello, anyone with teen girls sailing? I'll have my 15 year old daughter on board. I worry there won't be many high school girls on a Disney cruise, especially during the school year.

I will have two teenagers with me.

My son is 15 and my daughter is 13. We've always cruised in Sept. or Oct. during the school year (we homeschool) and the kids have always made wonderful friends onboard.

She won't have a problem finding someone her own age to hang out with.

Like someone else mentioned - make sure she takes the time to go to the teen club the first night. Usually my kids will meet a group of friends that first night and hang out with them for the next week.

Haven't checked in a long time! A bad bout of pneumonia, along with the holidays and time flew by!

Since we are discussing kids, we will have an 11 (dd) and a 13(ds) year old with us. We are pulling them out of school so we can have a nice cruise together. They are looking forward to meeting the kids on the cruise, as they have had a lot of fun with kids on the other cruises we have been on.

We have been dreaming about the weather there, we have had 16 inches of snow in the past two weeks.

Excursions are also becoming a topic of conversation, can't wait to hear opinions!!

Its good to see you again

I am going through the thread looking for cruisers I missed in setting up the spreadsheet and realized that you were 1 of them. You are all added now. If you want any additional info added just let me know:thumbsup2

I'm sorry to hear about the Pnuemonia. Seems to be a thing these days, my cousin posted that had it a couple of days ago. He's hoping the Z-pack will knock it out.

Time really has flown by. I started this thread well over a year ago now, and it doesn't feel like that much time has gone by popcorn::

We have decided to join you guys for this cruise. Just the two of us this time. We have been on the Western two times and have never been on the Eastern cruise. We went last year and there were seven of us, but only two this time. I will have to start looking for excursions for this trip.

:welcome: aboard :dance3::banana:

This seems to be a theme lately. Cruisers checking while I'm updating the first post:lmao: We have a lovely bunch of cruisers here are we are glad you're joining us.

This is my 2nd Eastern, and Dh and i just love it. Go ahead and catch up whereever. I'll add you to the first post and please take a look at our google spreadhseet and if you have any info you want to add to it please let me know.

Any questions, just ask away:thumbsup2

Ok, for some unknown reason I went through the WHOLE thread last night:lmao: Thank God its only 35 pages long, cause it took me about 2.5hours to go through it:rotfl2:

I wanted to find the missing cruisers I KNEW should be in the list. I'm thrilled to say i found them and added everybody to the first post and spreadsheet. As for names you may not recognize. 1 is in hiding until the kids find out sometime this summer:rotfl: And others have been drive-by posters checking in.

We're all there now. So everything is updated and hopefully correct.

Gotta get my but dressed and get the dog out for a walk, cause God knows what the weather will be tomorrow. It seems that its turning into Christmas all over again. :rolleyes1

:welcome: aboard from another Tigger. GRRRRR. We have also enjoyed the Westerns but also really enjoy the Easterns as well. You start off with 2 sea days to just relax and enjoy the ship. Both St Maarten and St Thomas are nothing like the Western stops. St Maarten is a great beach island and St Thomas has lots of shopping or you can go over to St John which I have heard is beautiful.

Since I'm in the mood to shamelessly bump the post count I'll just mention that the correct link to the sheet is added to the first post as well as in the post above.

I wonder if can get that post to take up the first page:lmao:

Hey guys, I have been super busy but finally trying to catch up. I noticed on the spreadsheet that my DH name is missing, it is Larry. We are 11C too since we are right next door.:lmao: I was wondering on the resort part.. can we add hotel on that too? I thought it might be nice to see where everyone plans on staying the night. We are going to try for the Hyatt Regency at the airport if we can get it cheap enough through Hotwire. I think it has to be a month or two out to see the cheap rates?:confused3. I am really looking forward to the wonderul beaches at both islands and will do excursions there. The sky ride thing looked fun too. decisions,,, decisions...:rotfl2:

If you can please change the spelling of my name to Alan. Sorry just a pet peeve of mine. As for before I will be at AKL for 9 nightsfor the 40th and Food and Wine.

Hi Laura

I was thinking along the same lines as you with the hotel. So that's the Pre-Cruise resort column. If enough people are staying near the port then maybe we can have a night before meet and greet. Did that the last time with Dinner at Grills and then at the pool area at the CI&S. Was a fun time.

And for those staying near the airport maybe some of you can hook up there as well. Makes for a fun trip I think.

We are driving down so we will be staying at the Port. Hopefully CI&S again. I think I'm going to split it between reward points and cash to reserve it. When I know for sure I'll post it on the sheet.

Now, I have GOT to go clean my kitchen. I really think it should clean itself though:lmao:

No problem. All fixed. I know a few different Alans and it seems none of you ever spell it the same exact way:rotfl:

Then I had to get rid of a Kirby salesman. Thank God i read the budget board and have the Kirby threads. I know better than to let them in my house.

We are staying at the MCO Hyatt Friday night. We are trying to save a least a half day of school therefore we fly out in the afternoon and relax for the evening. Since we do not get in until around 8pm depending on the flight, getting a rent a car and drving to the port is too much of a hassle at that time of the night. We always get the Hyatt Stay Certificate for $141/night. That includes the taxes so no hidden expenses after we get there. Here is a link to get the certificate if you are interested. Just remember to call first to make sure of availability of rooms that you can use a certificate before buying a certiifcate.

Thanks. I will check that out. I am hoping for something under $90 on hotwire so I will be checking every month through different things.

We are 11C too since we are right next door.:lmao: ...:rotfl2:

We are in 11C also. I guess those are the old Cat. 12 gty. right? The first time we cruised we had two Cat. 12 rooms and were upgraded to Cat. 9, and the last time we cruised we had three rooms and were upgraded to Cat. 9.
We just got the 11C today. They come and go and are hard to get. There are only 13 11C rooms I think. On our last cruise there were over 30 rooms reserved as Cat. 12, so a lot of people got bumped up. We just need for more people to keep getting those 11C rooms :rolleyes1

We will be staying in WDW for a week before the cruise. We'll be staying at BWV Sept. 30th - 7th.

I will be running the Wine and Dine Half Marathon on Oct. 1st. We will spend the night of the 7th at the Radisson at the Port. We've done this prior to each cruise and have had really great experiences. The kids love the pool. We can park there for free and they have a free shuttle to the ship in the morning.

So if anyone will be in WDW prior to the cruise or staying at the Radisson the night before, it would be fun to meet up before we embark!
