I have done several tastings on Disney ships. Some arranged via DIS groups and on my last cruise just last week, I signed up on a whim just after getting on the ship and booking a Palo reservation. I think I have done whiskey, the Chocolate & Liquor, wine and Mojito tastings. All very fun and informative. I am not a champagne fan, but for those that are, it should be great!

So excited - though we can't book excursions until Feb. 14 being only Gold and not Plat. However, I did manage to secure our NOMA RESTAURANT booking today! Today is the day when Noma opens up for May booking and there were thousands of people queuing online virtually

Noma is the world's NUMBER 1 restaurant and it is located in Copenhagen! The only reservation available on Friday May 29, the day before we board the Magic, is for a table of 7 people at noon for lunch. I have booked this for now hoping that I can find some more people to join us. Precisely, I'm looking for 4 people to share this booking at Noma as we are a party of 3. Let me know if you're interested. You can research the restaurant online yourself. I figure as we're in Copenhagen, why not go for a once-in-a-lifetime dinning experience!?

If I don't get anyone interested, I'll cancel this reservation as we did manage (via a third party booking service) to also have a table booked for three on a different day. Friday would obviously be our preference, but for that we need to find 4 more people to join.

We are celebrating our 21st anniversary on June 4 (and it's ironic we are in Stockholm that day as I'm well over half Swedish!). I am looking forward to finding lutefisk for the kids to try. I remember helping to make this with grandma for the holidays...
We are spending 3 nights in Copenhagen prior to the trip. I am hoping to take the train to Malmo one day, travel to Hamlet's Castle and visit the Tivoil while we are there.

Greetings All! Sign us up for the Postcard/Recipe exchange too. Rick and Kelly, stateroom 7580, from Alabama. I signed up for a Palo dinner. I found I could not sign up for 2 nights... that's fair. Also, signed up for a long (8 hour) excursion in St. Petersburg, but couldn't sign up for an evening excursion, even though the day tour is scheduled to get back over an hour before the evening tour starts. Maybe I can sign up on board? Does anyone know how to find out the ports or terminals at which we will be arriving in the various cities? I know we can walk to the city center in Tallinn, but I want to start planning Helsinki and Stockholm. Thanks!

Anyone else considering doing any ports independently? It's not really a money thing but more of "we want to see the things we want to see on our own schedule".

Because we are getting to a number that may be difficult for some I am thinking of closing this group now and starting a second group. If you want to be in both groups, let me know.. That way we can close future group as it reaches 25, allowing for planning. But also welcomes all late comers. Thoughs on this idea?

Hi,

Yes I am not booking Port Adventures through DVC. For St Petersburg I have booked through a tour agent not via DVC as well. The rest of the ports will be done independently and I have been reading up on Rick Steve's guidebook for this. We visited the ports on the Med cruise on our own as well a couple of years back. No problem.
