Magic in Northern Europe May 30 2015

Your booking day will be here before you know it!! The only fully booked excursion so far is the St Pete Ballet.

Word is that they will be doing a Frozen party on this cruise. There seems to be confusion though if it is replacing Pirate night or in addition to it.

I would expect it to be a replacement for Pirate night. Seems a bit silly to have a Pirate night on a Scandanavian Cruise. Viking Night would be more appropriate, but Frozen will do. Frozen Cocktails, Frozen Sno-Cones, Frozen Strawberries on Hot Crepes.....mmmm.

Hello....

We will be joining you all on this cruise and we are very excited to finally experience all that Disney has to offer. We have sailed on other cruise lines but this will be our FIRST Disney Cruise.

It will be me (Jenn), DH, and DS who will be 3 at the time of sailing. This will be the second cruise for our DS. We are from Boston, MA

DH is originally from Sweden so we will be spending the week prior to the cruise visiting his family in Sweden. We are flying into Copenhagen on 5/30.

Since this will be our first Disney cruise, any tips and/or suggestions? Thanks

I would recommend just to enjoy it. Don't try and cram EVERYTHING in you will end up missing the little things. Take the time to soak everything up. Otherwise you won't remember the things you have seen and done. I felt with our first Disney cruise we were running about mad trying to cram so much in (that may also be down to the fact we were getting married on the boat too) I don remember everything. 2nd time we went on the Dream we noticed a lot more and did things we simply didn't have time for the 1st time round.

Ps LOVE the spelling of your name...from another Jenn! lol

Thanks Jenn for the recommendation. I'm sure we will want to do and see it all but we will do our best to take in as much as we can without feeling overwhelmed.

Hi!

We have been booked and paid off for a while but finally admitting that we are actually going to do this. {Deep breathing}

It is my husband and myself with two kids, 9 and 11 from Georgia (the state in the USA). It is our first trip to Europe and we are adding extra days before departure in Copenhagen and after the cruise in Paris, London, and Dublin. It's been a lengthy and complicated endeavor to plan all of the flights, trains, hotels, etc. My spreadsheet(s) are impressive. This is our second Disney Cruise with our first in Alaska so we're big fans of long cruises. So excited to be doing this.

I haven't even started on the excursions so that'll be another page in my spreadsheet.

Its easily done to want to see it all. this is our 3rd Disney cruise but first on the Magic so we will probably overwhelm ourselves too.

Another top tip is the shows in the Theatre are shown on TV in your room so if you do miss it you can watch it later on TV.....not quite the same as in the theatre but you won't miss out completely.

Here is an updated list. I'll keep updating the list and posting to allow all to anticipate how many cards to make. The group can decide when to close the list but usually, we don't need to do so as far out as the FE list.
I usually have my cards printed by Vista Prints, using pictures Bob takes and adding my own Disney-ing. I have it printed with the recipe on the back. When Vista is having a sale (when aren't they???) I get 50 cards for much less then the cost of buying them. Of course you can also print them out yourself. Anyone needing help with making a card to print, send me a pm.

Is this list just for the recipe exchange? Is there a different list for FE?

And don't forget the chocolate fondue! ;)

Hi Everyone

I saw this on another thread - Champagne Girls. Ladies would get together and do a champagne "tasting". They have said it's a fun activity for a sea day.

Thought it might be a fun thing to do. They dress in pink/wear pink feather boas, tiaras etc or not if it's not your thing.

Maybe the men could do a beer/whisky tasting so they don't feel left out.

If anyone is interested then let me know and we can arrange something.

Jenn

If you do this please count me IN! I would love to do anything involved with champange!:bitelip:

Fantastic! that makes 3 of us so far!

If anyone else wants to join just let me know

Jenn

I wonder how many ppl check this thread and if you might get more traction if you post in the main area???? Regardless I can't wait! It will be nice to get away from the family for a little while and have a quick break! Cheers!

I have done several tastings on Disney ships. Some arranged via DIS groups and on my last cruise just last week, I signed up on a whim just after getting on the ship and booking a Palo reservation. I think I have done whiskey, the Chocolate & Liquor, wine and Mojito tastings. All very fun and informative. I am not a champagne fan, but for those that are, it should be great!
