Magic in Northern Europe May 30 2015

Also, after further investigation and lots of cruisecritic searching, we do not need a visa for certain tours organized by St. Petersburg companies either. I think we will be doing a private tour that way, most likely with Best Guides.

Interestingly, it looks like Catherine's Palace is closed on Tuesdays, which is our port day there. DCL offers excursions there. Either it will not actually be offered once booking opens up, or DCL has a way to get tours there regardless.

::MinnieMo::MinnieMo::MinnieMoSo excited to be going to the Baltic in May!

Also, my kids LOVED the FE's on the last cruise - is anyone interested?

OR I also saw that some are doing MAGNETS for FE's on another cruise which I thought could be super fun - we'd get something on our door from where everyone was from - or what they liked.

Unfortunately, posts have been removed from a number of Cruise Meets threads including this one.

PLEASE review the Cruise Meet Policy regarding Cruise Meet and Fish Extender programs. - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3353477

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions, etc.).

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS where FE began years ago..

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one seems to be coming forward to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread. There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Many Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS.

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Hi Everyone

I saw this on another thread - Champagne Girls. Ladies would get together and do a champagne "tasting". They have said it's a fun activity for a sea day.

Thought it might be a fun thing to do. They dress in pink/wear pink feather boas, tiaras etc or not if it's not your thing.

Maybe the men could do a beer/whisky tasting so they don't feel left out.

If anyone is interested then let me know and we can arrange something.

Jenn

We are interested in doing an FE or Magnet Exchange, however, I haven't seen anything happening on this site - We are game if you are!

We have done FE's in the past and we just pack small fun things - wasn't a problem. If you are interested we should start a list!

Uhh haven't been around much on disboards lately and thought I'd check out the thread here for this cruise. We've had this booked since the day it was available for gold/platinum :rotfl2:
I'm sure I've missed a lot over here and probably can't catch up... but hey there! :wave2:
we'll be on the EBTA prior to this cruise also. Anyone going to DLP & Paris after this cruise? WE are! I'm so excited... check that off my bucket list and it was way up near the top of the list! hehe

Uhh... reserve right to edit this post once I catch up a bit. :)

Nope you are not missing anything. DCL is correct because there are tiers for when people can book based on the number of DCL cruises you have been on. For platinum (10 or more DCL cruises) booking is Jan
For Gold (5 or more DCL cruises) booking is 20 days after Platinum
For Silver (1 DCL cruise or more) booking excrusions is after that..I dont remember the dates.

New to DCL are the last group to book excursions. There are a number of us booking ABD add on or on our own, outside of Disney.

Just to clarify- here's the listings of when everyone can prebook excursions online
http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/cruise/excursion_info.htm

Platinum (on cruises 11+) and concierge is 120 days prior to cruise date
Gold (on cruises 6-10) is 105 days prior to cruise date
Silver (on cruises 2-5) is 90 days prior to cruise date
New/first time cruisers is 75 days prior to cruise date
(note anyone in concierge room can book at 120 days regardless of level of castaway club member status)

Also... please note this means at 12:01 that day of. I forget what time zone that is- I just know it's actually 11:01pm- the prior night!- for those in CST
:) So technically... the day you can book- it's really the middle of the night before. LOL

Remember at the time of you pre-booking you have to have done enough cruises- actually cruised them not just booked them or paid for them- before it is counted. for instance when we did our 5th and 6th cruise back to back... we weren't able to book earlier on the 6th cruise because at the time we could have... we had not CRUISED the 5th cruise yet!
Unfortunately this numbskull is doing it again.. we'll be on our 10th and 11th cruise b2b- so on this cruise we will not have actually cruised the 10th yet... so we can't book earlier as platinum for this cruise which is our 11th. grrrr at myself. LOL not sure why I do that... Oh well :)

Hello all! We have just put our depo$it down and now really and truely looking forward to our next Disney Cruise!!

Definately in for the FE- will check all the posts for the list. We have a *bunch* of kids and cabins in our group. : )

With the final payment date fast approaching and the opportunity to book excursions right around the corner our excitement for this adventure is GROWING!!! We have only experienced Caribbean or Bahamian cruises in the past and the excursions only interested us slightly (it was always more about the ship, to be honest). This time, however, everything looks so intriguing it is going to be difficult to decide. We are attempting to spend less on excursions than on the cruise itself (which is why we didn't go with ABD!) but it is going to be difficult ;)

I know it is against DisBoards rules to post links to many other sites and I do not want to do anything untoward but what about links to Google Docs where FE information has been compiled? Is there any moderator out there in DisBoard land that can shed some light on this? I've heard horror (okay... Maybe not "horror"; I exaggerate) stories about people being banned from the boards due to ignorance on this issue and I just want clarification.

Now... Back to the wonderful dilemma of where to spend my excursion budget :D

Hi there, dumb question...but what does "ABD" mean? I have seen that a few times on disboards and can not find out what it means. Thanks :)

ABD is Adventures by Disney. They have a pre-cruise add on and a separate during the cruise package that takes care of all the port excursions and then some.

We are wait listed for the cruise portion. Fingers crossed the PIF date comes and a spot opens. Well, actually 8 spots for the whole group. :)

We loved Singapore!! We went to Universal and a few other places, but when we left, my kids said they want to live there some day!!

Can't wait to meet your family. How old are the kids in your party?

I know someone who posted the link to a kids thread that was on the DIS boards and had that removed. So I wouldn't risk Google Docs,
