Magic in Key West this week? Pirate museum?

We are vacationing in the Keys this week. We are heading down to Key West on Sunday. Anyone know if the Magic will be docked there? Hoping we get lucky!

Also, is the Pirate Museum any good? Anyone know the cost or where I can fete more info? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, the Magic will not be in Key West this week - she is still in Europe.

We have not done the Pirate Museum, but did stand near the door eating Key Lime pie on a stick. It looked like the groups going in/coming out were having a good time and the "Pirates" working there were pretty funny.

We did the Pirate Musuem and Aquarium a few years back with our 3 boys. They really like it. My DH also took them into the Ripley's Believe or Not, while I shopped.

We also were in Key West last Easter Sunday on the Magic, that time we went to the beach.....

The pirate museum was fun. It was smaller than I thought, but the themeing is good. My sons were very young when we went so the pirate didn't act to scary around them. When I told my son the pirate was like Capt Jack Sparrow, he acted insulted and it was very funny. We went on our own (not the excursion through DCL) but we ended up on our way there at the same time as them. I can't remember how much it was to get in, maybe they have a website. I'm glad we did it, the gift shop was great, especially for pirate lovers.

According to all I found on web, the museum is closed if you are talking about the "Pirate Soul Museum". It has relocated to St. Augustine.

Yes I believe that was the museum. Too bad it closed. Maybe you could try the shipwreck museum. It was nearby and looked like someplace we may want to visit.

Thanks for the memories - sure needed to see pictures of my town - I remember when all that area was underwater so many years ago and in fact, that is where my great grandfather was on ships fighting pirates off the homeland.
