Basic, basic question, but it's an issue I want to make sure I understand fully. On March 9 the MK is scheduled to open at 9:00 a.m. Since this is a day with an extra magic (morning) hour, will the gates open at 8:00 for those staying at WDW resorts?

I know I am way overthinking this, but as a different example on March 10 Epcot's Future World closes at 7:00 p.m. Will WDW resort guests be allowed on the rides until 8:00 p.m. (or later)?

The gates will open at 8am and may even open earlier - when they open earlier you will be able to walk up Main Street to a certain point where each of the lands will be roped off - you can then line up at the rope and wait for the rope drop ensuring you get a head start

I think it is going to be a fairly busy time period

As for Epcot, with the EMH, some of the attractions will be open until Midnight (9pm plus three hours), some will close at 7 and some at 9 - the Times Guide will list what is open and what is not

For example TT, Soaring, Mission Space, Spaceship Earth - all these will be open until Midnight

Epcot®
Mornings:
Living with the Land, Mission: SPACE®, Soarin', Spaceship Earth, Test Track
Evenings:
Includes attractions listed above and Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, Journey Into Imagination with Figment, Mexico-El Río del Tiempo, Norway-Maelstrom, The American Adventure

You are correct. If the posted "official" opening time for the MK is 9am and it is an EMH morning the park opens at 8am for Disney resort guests.
I find the schedule much easier to read on the DIS home page....wdwinfo.com.
For your Epcot question...there is much confusion about Future World. Although the posted closing time is normally 7pm the main attractions like Test Track, Soarin', and Spaceship Earth remain open until 9pm (or the closing time for World Showcase, whichever is later) every night of the year.
The evening EMH for Epcot then starts at 9pm....or whatever time WS closes.

Thank you for your very good answers. Now I don't feel like my question was stupid.

No worries

There are no stupid questions ever!

The sad situation is when people don't ask questions!

cheers
