Magic Gathering?

What is the Magic Gathering about and do you have to stay in a Diseny resort to get the benefit?

We will be a group of 15 (2 grandparent, 3 daughter with 3 son-in-laws and 7 grandkids) one big happy family. We are staying off site like all of our other trips to WDW.

Just trying to maximize our time in the parks with each other

Any advice would be great!!
