I am going through serious withdrawl from our Jan 2003 Western cruise. I noticed there are some great deals for the 9/20 Eastern. Help me out here with my math:

2 adults (I still need to find a sitter for the kids!), Cat 11

$1294.70
-$50 DU rebate
-$75 DU Shipboard Credit
-$200 (We booked a 2004 cruise on board that I can switch dates and then rebook when we are on in Sept)

So the grand total would only be $969.70!!!

We stayed in Cat 6 last time (2 Adults + DD's 4 & 8). Is a Cat 11 O.K.???

Has anyone else seen any better deals out there?

Sounds like a great deal to me! Bon Voyage!

I wouldn't worry at all about a cat 11. Sure a verandah is great, but it certainly isn't necessary. It's not as if you'll be stuck in the stateroom while the kids sleep in. There are plenty of places on board to find some solitude with the sea.

Good luck finding a sitter!

I think that is a great price!
Even though you can't splurge this time for the balcony, you are at least ON THE SHIP! :D
Have a great time!!

I know you may not want to hear this...but there ARE other ships out there other than Disney. A friend of mine just booked a balcony on the brand new mega ship by Carnival, "The Glory" for 750.00 per adult. Kids were additional 250.00?
Anyways, it is an option. We have always gone on Carnival, and Disney will be our first. We went on the Pride last Fall and it was awesome!
So just a thought. I'd certainly rather go than not at all. Carnival's new ships are wonderful! Not sure if you have little ones, but the newest ones I heard had great kids programs as well.

I hope it all works out for you!

Well, actually you're out of pocket money to get on the ship would be $1,244.70, with the $275 (can you get both credits?) credit on board for tips, etc. That credit would be enough for all tips, so then you'd have to watch your bar and spa bill!!! I hope you can find a babysitter and have a GREAT time!!

If you go through Pinkribboncruises.com you pay $599 plus the tax, no port charge. And there's the possibility of an upgrade. I am on the 9/20 sailing, and paid $599, got upgraded to a Cat. 9, and some of the money goes to worthy cause. I believe there's also a shipboard credit per cabin, but you could check with the TA Beth at Pinkribboncruises.com. Hope to see you there!

You might want to double check the credits.
When we cruised March 2003 we booked while on board for March 2004 and got the $200 stateroom credit. We transfered to DU and got a rebate they were offering but was told we could not get the additional $75 DCL credit cause you could not combine the $75 credit with the $200 stateroom credit.

When we cruised in March 2003 we had made our reservations before they stopped allowing you to combine credits so we had a great deal. If you do the research and find the deals then you should get what ever credits you find.

I think we even found out that we would not get the $50 credit for using our Disney Visa for our March 2004 because we already had shipboard credits.:(

Good Luck
please post what you find out.

Is the Disney Visa $50 credit even good for cruises next year? I called to ask and they said we had to sail by 12/31/03. I wish they would extend it.

I guess I never double checked on if we could get a credit for using our Disney Visa in March because it wouldn't make any difference. I already knew we couldn't get it because of other credits we would be getting.

:(

For our March 2004 cruise we will have $200 DCL credit for booking on board. We moved reservations to DU and received a rebate from them. DU also had a rebate going on but we were told we could not have it because we already had a credit. So I just figured they would say we wouldn't even get the Disney Visa credit. Used the Disney Visa for the deposits but probaby won't use it for paying off the balance.

Can anyone tell us how many credits they were able to use.?
