Hi, my name is Brandon 19 yrs old :dancer: going on the magic in Sept. :cool1: I'm curious about what there is to do on board. I'm not married, no kids just cruisin with family :boat: My mom said that if I needed an answer to just post it on the boards  that someone out there could help me :earseek:

Also if you know of any excursions that might be a "don't miss" let me know  There is never too much info

Thanks,

Brandon

it seems to me there is too much to do! im 23 and can't wait to see all the stuff i can get into. however i am nervous b/c i would like to meet people my age on the cruise that are also cruising with the fam. perhaps post on the cruise meets board and that might help meet peeps. as far as things to do i think you should explore the first day and go to the "adult" tours and see where that leads ya. best of luck!

First of all, you are considered an adult, and have access to all of the "Adult only" areas, as well as all other areas. For instance, there is a pool for adults only, IMHO is the best pool on board, and it is never crowded.
There are some adult only lounges, that at night, can be very lively. I'm sure you will meet other young adults there.

If you like to snorkel, I would check into one of the sail and snorkel expeditions. DD the CM (26) has done the St John Barefoot Catamaran Sail and Snorkel as well as the 12 metre Regata and liked both of them. Took me a while to figure out how she got the FRONT of her burned while snorkeling :sunny: until she mentioned the catamaran part.

I know she's been scuba diving in Cozumel but you have to be certified.

As soon as you get into your room, look at your navigator (newspaper).
It will have a place and time for singles over 18 to meet and get to know each other. Snacks are provided.
I'm sure it was the first day, but if you dont see it, look on the second day.
As far as what you can do, with the acception of drinking alcohol, your considered an adult, so you can attend anything on board.
Believe me, there is something for everyone, basketball, ping pong, shuffleboard,a sports club, 3 lounges with live music, movies, live theater everynight, sometimes they have magicians, comedians, jugglers too. There is a bridge tour, galley tour, art of Disney tour, spa( costs extra), exercise room, a family pool and hot tubs, an adult only pool and hot tubs, bingo with cash prices, ice carving, best legs contest, belly flop contest, family night club with Karoake, dancing,Who wants to be a mouseketeer game show, Know your mate game show ( can watch), towel folding, napkin folding, culinary demonstrations, drawing classes, make a kite for CC, Mickey 200 race, and much more that I dont have time to write, or one small arcade too, costs a little extra. They are always adding new things. Just be friendly and start talking with people on board and you'll have a great time.
On CC if you like a little excitement, try the banana boat ride. It is fast and wild. If you sit towards the back, really hang on because a lot of those people fall off the boat. Of course you need to know how to swim to do this.
My DH loved the Parasailing on CC too.

My comment would be to also go there with it in your mind that you will have fun! Let yourself act young as you are participating in the adult things. We adults like to see other having fun and it makes it more fun if you just jump in and get silly with the rest. Chat up with many folks and your fun time will increase for sure.

(Don't try to be too grown up)

Looks like DM knew what she was doing when she booked this cruise. (I was a little worried) Thanks for all the info :cool1: DM asked me if I wanted to go DCL in future, looking better and better... :rolleyes1

Hello Brandon - my son had the same problem which didn't turn out to be a problem. It seems that DCL has a meeting usually at the Rocking Bar D the first night in which singles from 18-25 can go. As suggested before, have an open mind, be friendly and have a great time. I expected to have my son around for the first day or two but it only took until after dinner and then I saw him only at check in time. Fortunately he made it back in time to disembark on Saturday. :rotfl2: Seriously though, make friends with others and also check with the cruise staff. Their usually good for getting people together. My son has a fantastic picture with DJ Pike and his group of bandits... er... I mean friends. By the way, if your wondering (as my son was wondering) the girls . . . ummmm I mean sights are no problem and he made plenty of friends which he has talked to and meet on land after the cruise. Have fun. Laura
