We have an 8:00 am departure from MCO. How early will ME pick us up from POR? I just saw someone on TripAdvisor mention that they were picked up at 3am for a 7:30 am flight?! Yikes?
Also what is the average amount of time to get luggage from ME to your hotel room? TIA!

That's correct. ME will pick you up approx 3 hours prior to flight time, and you have to be at the bus stop 15 minutes prior as the time they give you is the bus departure time.

According to both the Magical Express brochure and experience, luggage arrives in your room within three hours of when you check in at the resort and your room is ready.

International travelers are picked up approx 4 hours before their flight time.

Also, the RAC desk is only open from 5am to 1pm, so keep that in mind. You won't be able to utilize that service with an 8am flight.

Resort Airline Check in. You can check your luggage and get your boarding passes printed there.

What is the RAC desk?

A service desk in the resort lobby where you can check in for your flight and check your luggage (and pay any luggage fees). It saves you from taking your bags on the ME bus back to the airport. Think of it as curbside check-in, only it's right at your resort.

Yes. On our last trip we did RAC at Caribbean Beach. We were flying United- MCO-IAH-YEG. Worked like a charm! Not sure what restrictions are regarding participating airlines, etc.

In order to use RAC, you must be done and walking away, boarding passes in hand, no less than 3 hrs prior to flight time. This is why you really can't use RAC if you have a flight before 8:30am.
For an 8am flight you would most likely be given a p/u time of between 4:45 and 5:15...depends on where your particular resort falls along the route. Be sure to be out at the bus stop, ready to go, 10-15 mins prior to your time...that time is the time the bus is supposed to leave the resort, not the time you should get to the stop.

As far as baggage arriving in your room...figure on up to 3 hrs after resort check in, and the room is ready. You can arrive and check in at 9am, but you can't be looking for checked bags to arrive by noon if you don't have a readied room yet!!!
