Magic Express question

This is another one that I was like - what board does this really belong on. Anyway, my next trip is a week from today and I originally had us spending the first night at the Pop, followed by 4 nights in an AoA suite. (three adult gals). Anyway, we just decided to move that first night to AoA as well. since we are so close to our departure date, our agent can't guarantee that our ME tags will get to us in time. I NEVER get my checked bags and schlep them onto ME (it is one of many little touches I love about a WDW trip) and am thinking that if the new tags don't arrive, I will just write over the tags that we have and hope they end up at AoA. Worst case they end up at Pop and we have them transferred. Has anyone done this kind of thing before? What was your experience?

Do you have ME tags already? If you have them, it doesn't matter that you changed resorts. The bar code updates. DO NOT WRITE OVER THEM.

If you don't have ME tags, save your bag check tags (from the airline). Give them to the ME desk. They will still fetch them.

I do have ME tags. They just say Pop on them, vs. AoA. My trips are often DVC rentals so I have to work with ME directly. I recall one time making a change and they told me I could use the tags that I had as the bar code would tell them where my bags should go according to my reservation, so I THOUGHT that was the case. So I shouldn't scribble out Pop and write on AoA? as a back-up? I wouldn't scribble on any of the bar codes.

No one reads the text. They read the bar code. Reading text takes bending over and reading and stuff versus just scan and throw. Bulk operation!

There are many threads that discuss dme employees telling folks to cross out the name and write the new hotel name. Can't hurt IMO.
