Magic Express question...

How far in advance did you get your Magic Express luggage tags in the mail? We are leaving in just about a month and change, and I am wondering if I should expect that stuff soon. I love getting Disney magic in the mail!

Also, I had given my flight info to Disney but then the airline contacted me that the flight numbers and times had changed. I called Disney right away and gave them my new information. No problem. Except, now when I log on to the my reservations page on disneyworld.com, is says "no flight information given". I'm worried that somehow my information wasn't input correctly? I called them and asked about it and they did have my flight info - it's just not showing up online. I don't want to end up with no ride once we get there!

I got mine for my upcoming trip just a few days ago, about 30 days out from my visit.

I got mine today for Aug. 12 trip. You should be getting the ME booklet and tags very soon. I have had the same thing happen with the flights in the past. As long as you receive the ME packet you will have no problem getting on the bus but you will have to call them to give them your return flight information before you leave. Don't wait to the last day as they send out your ME letter with the time to take the bus on the day before you leave. If you do not receive your ME Packet call DME (866-599-0951).

I booked thru AAA. When I read on the boards how everyone was getting their mail about 30 days out I had to call them. I was about two weeks out and didn't receive anything yet. Once I placed the call I received my paperwork a few days later. When I went thru everything I saw that my TA never gave my flight info to Magical Express. I just called them myself and set it all up.

Also, when using a TA the DME information sometimes goes to the TA instead of directly to you. It all depends on how the TA set it up. In those situations, you have to rely on the TA to then get the package to you. As it is with anything, some are good about it and some are not.

DME packets 'usually' arrive about 4 weeks prior to travel. BUT...we do see times when it's a shorter time period than that. So, any time from a month out to the day before you travel (which isn't going to make anyone happy!!).
If you have a change in flights, it really doesn't matter much. When you get to the airport, you can give them the correct departure info..that's what really matters.

And if you use a TA, as already pointed out, your packet will most likely go to them. I'm surprised when I hear of someone using a TA but still calling DME themselves to reserve their ride. We continue hearing other accounts that tell us that DME won't talk to the guest if they have used a TA. But, perhaps it's different if the TA actually made the DME reservation, in addition to the resort reservation, vs just the resort reservation.

I did not actually use a TA, that was someone else who posted about that. I will give it a few weeks before I freak out, lol.

I also booked our trip with AAA. This is the first major trip we are taking! I went on my own and booked air tickets with Southwest. I called gave AAA gave flight info and it also states no flight info given. It states on my AAA invoice that I called in and gave them my flight info. AAA told me they will call me appx 30 days before trip to come in and pick up my trip pack. I'm guessing it will have everything I need.

I actually picked up my Disney packet today at AAA. It had 4 ME luggage tags (one for each of us), 4 holographic luggage Micky tags, and a booklet that has all of our info (vouchers, diamond card, parking pass). Our trip is 30 days away!

Mine was about 30 days but I know of some users who got theres about a week before their trip.
