Magic express question

My boyfriend and I just bought into AKV. We will be traveling with our parents in October down to SSR using our developer points, how do we obtain magic express tickets? We will be arriving seperately, does it make a difference since we will not be with them upon arrival?

Also, as DVC members, can we use the ME anytime or only while physically staying at one of the resorts?

Has anyone rented cars at disney, we know that you can, but didn't know if there was a cost difference between renting at disney or at the airport.

All onsite guests, including DVC can use Magical Express. To book it with a DVC reservation, cal Member Services. It does not matter if members of your party will be arriving separately on different flights, just be sure that you give Member Services the information for everyone on your party.

You can also book ME online at the DVC Members website. Cars seem to be cheaper away from the airport due to the facility tax and fees.

The DME buses only go from the airport to the Disney resorts and back, and you can't reserve a DME trip unless you have a reservation at a Disney resort.

We are picking up a National rental at the Dolphin and it's the same price as picking it up at the airport.

We are picking up a car from Alamo at the Car Care Center. Not a big price difference and worth the convenience. We also got a discount with our Entertainment Card (they have a DVC discount also).
