Hi everyone! We fly out in 24 days, I have not received anything in the mail as of yet, should I call someone? I emailed my travel agent 2 days ago and have not heard back from her at all as she has been nearly zero help this whole trip). I have never been and am getting the feeling I should have received them already!?
 
You should get the package at least 45 days before the flight. I would call Disney and talk to Magical Express. If you have all of your information it should be easy to do. Make sure that all members of your party are listed on the Magical Express paperwork when you call.
 
My TA told me they should go out about a month before your travel dates. I'd give it until Friday and if you don't have them I'd be calling.

In re: to your agent not being available this week, maybe she's at WDW? Mine was 3 weeks ago.
 
You will not receive the package until about 30 days before your trip. I would call your TA, some people are not E-mail people. Though as a TA she should be, if you want immediate results there is nothing like a phone call. Good luck!
 

We also fly out in 24 days. I just got my packet on Monday if that helps! Yours should be along shortly. If you haven't seen anything in another week, then call. Worst case scenario is that you'll have to collect your luggage to bring to the hotel with you because you wont have luggage tags. But they'll ensure that you're in the system.
 
Thanks so much everyone! I just called (a DME # I found on here) and they said our reservation had never been downloaded into their system by our TA! This is just another example of her dropping the ball, never again will I go through a travel agent. Grr....So it's all set and I will never recommend/use Small World Travel again! What a bummer, she has not been helpful at all and I can handle that - but not putting in our info (after I confirmed with her) is not cool. Luckily we have plenty of time to get the papers, woohoo, thanks to you all!
 
OH, and Katharee - thanks but she doesn't return phone calls in a timely manner either unfortunately! grrrrr
 
Oh Clara, I'm so sorry you had a bad experience with your TA :( We're not all that bad though, I promise!

Was DME able to get your reservation made?

Well that's just terrible business! Glad you took ahold of the reigns and got your own reservation. Have a great trip!
 
we leave in 38 days and haven't recieved anything yet either, but I remember it being closer to 3 weeks beforehand last year when we went.

Even if you don't get the stuff, you can always go to the Magical Express counter at the airport.
 
Call Disney. They'll make sure you're set and taken care of. Our last trip was very last minute. They made sure I had my ME stuff in plenty of time, and the rest of the package (vouchers and stuff) they had forwarded to our room so it didn't come to my house after we were already gone. It was waiting for us on our bed when we arrived.
 
So sorry you had a bad experience with your travel agent.

I will say that I usually get my clients docs between 2 and 3 weeks before their trip. At that time, I add all the information that I put together for them including personalized touring plans. So they usually get them from 1 to 2 weeks before their trip.

I have had some recently that never got to me from Disney. There has been tons of issues with documents not going out from WDW since about last December. We've really had to stay on top of it.

I check in may 3rd Got disney docs today (Arpil 4th) Have ME tags but no flight info listed for some of us but I just added it Mon April 2nd. BFF who had ME booked for few weeks got her info at TA's office last week sometime.
 
Just wanted to update and say thank you to Sue - the owner of Small World Vacations. Not only did she call to find out how everything was going with our travel agent that we had been assigned, but upon finding out I was not pleased she offered to change my TA, is sending us in room personalized mickey ears for the kids and went out of her way to try and resolve the situation! Just nice to see that she cares so much about her business and would go the extra mile.

Magic Express papers were received today so we are well on our way.

So glad to hear that it all worked out. I went thru a TA also. She works out of her home 3 days a week, and in the office 2 days a week. I use email to correspond with her so far, but sometimes it takes a week to hear back for a simple question. I know as we get closer to our trip, I will use her cell phone if I don't hear back in a timely fashion. Have a great trip!!

I booked (and paid for) our trip on Friday 4/6...we arrive on 5/1. I called Disney to find out if the ME paperwork would be sent right away. She told me it usually takes 7-10 days (for situations like mine) but not to worry if I don't receive it, I should just go ahead and collect our luggage (instead of letting ME transport it for us) and then head to the ME desk to check-in without paperwork.

She obviously doesn't know my slightly obsessive personality...I really NEED to have the luggage tag and paperwork before we leave! :rolleyes1

Here's hoping the paperwork shows up before our trip... popcorn::
