OK,
I was under the impression that if you didn't enter your flight info when making your resort reservations that they wouldn't send you a your Magic Exp tags for your bags. However I received two yellow tags for everyone in my party while my brother who rented another suite didn't receive any. Now I don't trust that they are "valid". Will these work OK or do I have to have them send me new ones based on the flight info?

The tags have nothing to do with your flight, they pull any yellow tags from the luggage tram at the airport and deliver to your room..

The DME Yellow luggage tags are tied to your resort reservation not to your flight so if you want to use them they are fine. Since inbound flights can be delayed or canceled fairly often Disney doesn't track the incoming flights.

If your brother is also onsite and wants to use DME he should call and make sure they have his reservation, they can also send the tags for his reservation.

On the outbound, back to the airport DME will need your flight information to schedule you on a bus. Expect to be picked up about 3 hours prior to a domestic flight, 4 for international.

I swear I read somewhere they wouldn't send them to till you enter flight info so that cracks me up that the have nothing to do with it. Looks like I can give my brother the extra tags as we're only bringing one bag each and won't need both tags.
Or is there two, one for inbound and one for outbound? Do I need that second tag for when we leave?

Your arrival flight info means nothing. You can book DME without flight info. Your brother should call and make sure he is signed up for DME. If he doesn't have a reservation, he can't get in the bus! So, have him call!

You should get one yellow tag per person. They are used for your arrival into into MCO only. The tags look like they can be split in half, making two, but in reality, it is one long tag. Once on your bag, the tag is about 7'' long....you rip off the two little squares at the bottom of the tag, loop the tag around your handle, and stick the two ends together. You do NOT use these tags going back to the airport!

You should only have one tag per person and if you do have extra and share them with your brother realize that his bags will be delivered to your room. The tags have each guests name, resort area abbreviation and a bar code to tie them to your reservation.

The yellow tags are for the inbound luggage delivery via DME.

On the outbound you can bring your bags on the bus with you or depending on your flight times use the RAC service. Details and info can be found in the sticky on the top of the page.

Righto we're set.
My poor brother only got two tags out of the 5 in his party but at least I'm ready to go.
Thanks everyone!

Glad your all set -

May be worth your brothers time to check to make sure he has vouchers for all 5 in his party so they don't have issues riding the bus! If there is time they may be able to send him more bag tags as well.

Either way they can use the luggage delivery feature by giving DME the airline luggage claim tags when they check in to DME if they arrive prior to 10. Otherwise they can just get their own bags and bring them on the bus.
