We just booked last week. Our first cruise and I am lost? Do I need to book anything other than excursions in advance?
ANy recommendations for excursions…they seem so expensive for a beach day maybe I am missing something? I will pay it though

I have been reading and reading threads and still haven't a clue. I have a dh (grumpy towards all things disney) and a dd 10 and ds 8 the three of us are super excited and dh is not

As for the FE how many FE gifts roughly would we be bringing? I may be able to fill in for someone that dropped out.

Welcome! I can 'hear' the excitement in your post
My advice to you... since this is your first cruise..... skip the FE this time. You will have tons AND TONS of stuff to keep you and yours busy. And just like the parks, understand that there is no way that you can do it all. You will have an absolute blast. Perhaps you can join in the meet and greet. Too bad you don't have FB at work... do you have it at home?
Again, biggest thing is to relax and enjoy. If you don't wanna do excursions, don't do them.. Some people even choose to stay on the ship on port days, enjoying an almost empty ship. See ya real soon!

Is there anything we need to book in advance other then palo?
we are dvc and I know that process now (finally lol) thanks to 5 years on the dis but I have never researched the cruises because dh said he would never go on one.

We would like to do the excursions….we thought of a snorkel for one port and beach for the other.
It just seamed expensive (200$) to go to the beach…can't you just go to the beach? I want to go though so if it is best to go through an excursion that is what we will do. what is the meet?

I am going to attach a link to a Google document. It shouldn't hurt for you to take a look at it. But know that if you do add your information onto it, it will be posted on Facebook. This is where people will sign up for the FE as well as the meet and greet. It may or not be too late to sign up for some of the tastings. You can post as little information as you want. The meet and greet is a gathering of some of your fellow disboard cruisers. Usually on the first or second day.....there are usually a few of the ships officers that attend as well. Its just fun to meet up with people that you have been connecting with albeit mostly on Facebook. I don't know if I have been any help or not LOL. Yes, you can definitely go to the beaches on your own, some take a taxi. You just have to realize that if you are late getting back to the ship and you are not on a Disney excursion, they will not hold the ship for you. All you have to do is make sure you are back in plenty of time. People on these boards are really helpful, and will answer all your questions.

They are all good, but I found 'Everything Fish Extender' is a good one to start with. All of those threads will lead you to the design threads too... warning! It's addictive!!

So last night in trying to figure out how to stop videos from automatically playing in Facebook. I stumbled upon "current sessions" and found I had 11 "current and active" sessions all across the US in places I have never been near. I tried to remove them, but they returned before the end of the night. So I decided to deactivate my obviously hacked Facebook account and will give it a break before I try it again.

Monday - Formal
Wednesday - Pirate
Friday - Semi Formal

3 Dining Rotations
#1 LACLACL
#2 ACLACLA
#3 CLACLAC

The Animators show will be your last night to dine in Animators.

I'm all booked and got that part figured out. I haven't told my 4year old anymore about it due to his excitement. I'll wait another month,lol. Any single people going? Just curious. I want to take my son snorkeling but the excursions put a age limit on it,so I guess I gotta find my own excursion. He's an active kid and loves everything. I wanted to take him zip lining. What are some ideas for my son and I do to for excursions. And if you have been to these ports before,let me know if I can just go to the beach and go snorkeling there or some insight on tours.
