Magic Double-dip "SCOOP AWAY THE POUNDS"

Oh, Jackie, YEAH!!!!! That's a good kick start for you!!

Devin...wow, you're doing great! I'd try to focus on how much is gone, rather than how much more you want to lose. Less demoralizing that way!:) I think you're doing fantastic!

Dee...Just simply fabulous, woman!!

Carolyn, who's having a rather icky day...not enough chat last night, perhaps?

Dee Devin and Jackie Way to go guys!!!!!! Its fun to watch Bubba grow only wish I was adding to him. Hopefully next week!

Just wanted to pop on and tell you how proud of ALL of you I am. 10lbs, 20lbs, and almost 50 for DEE!!!! I am over joyed with all of you! You are such a great group of folks, I think I'll step onto my scale tomorrow and see where we are at. I've mixed some things up in my eating so we shall see if it's working. The LA Weight Loss plan didn't work out for me, long story but I felt pressure to BUY more stuff instead of feeling like they were helping me. So I stopped going. No plan doesn't help, by the way! Anyway, more later - hugs & Kisses!

WAY TO GO ALL YOU MELTERS (not using the loss word, because you find what you lose, but your MELTING away - and that's good!

I was awakened this morning at 4:00 a.m. by the sound of a large rather disturbing "beep" long pause, "beep"... I knew immediately that Jose's dog was hiding outside because she hates when it happens. One of two things was going on, one of the UPS systems in my DH's office was going off because of the rain/light storm, or two, it was one of the fire alarm batteries signaling that it was needing to be replaced. I woke up my DH (at this point not so D by the way) and told him what was going on. I sat out on the porch in a blanket (drizzling rain and slight wind) holding my lovely scared to death frantic dog in my lap telling her Daddy was fixing the problem - while the other dog, was fast asleep in bed under the covers - dead to the world.

One hour and 20 minutes later we finally figure out after much arguing and no I don't mean "discussing" - that it was in fact an alarm that had been removed from the electrical system but was laying on top of his file cabinet with the battery in it.

This after him taking down several of the uninterupted power supplies (UPS) and removing their heavy and large batteries...

Now I ask you - why on earth would a man leave a disconnected alarm with a battery in it, just so at some point in the future it would go off? FULL KNOWING it won't happen between 5-9PM when he's home awake.

ARRRRGHHHHHHH can I be single again?

Tiggerspal... Yes, you could be single again, but will you truly be happy. Remember that wonderful vacation you just took. :thumbsup2 I hope your day gets :sunny: .

Okay I am sitting here hungry. I have no lunches at home and am floundering as to what to do for dinner. The good news is today is Dunkin Doughnut day here at the office and I am not interested in the doughnut, but the bagel is screaming my name. Problem if I eat it is that I will be exhausted in an hour or two. Somebody please come here and drag my tail to the store to p/u groceries. :)

Peggy...You CAN be single again, but you don't want to be...really...you DON'T! I can't believe it took him over an hour to figure out the alarm was coming from something on his desk! That is really good Teasing for the Rest of His Life material. Think of it as good joke fodder...

Dee...hope I'm not too late, but really, the bagel's NOT calling YOUR name, it's calling your thigh's name. And, your thigh has no ability to answer! Stay strong...You are in control, NOT your thighs!:) (this from the woman who raided the extra cookie ingredients last night and sent the rest off to work with DH this morning...she types sheepishly...) Good luck!!

Carolyn..you are to late. :guilty:

Have you ever rememberd how something tasted. Your memory of it so vivid that you almost salivate. Well that was me and that onion bagel. I held out till my afternoon snack. Went and checked and there was still one there. I knew it was meant to be. I carefully carried it to the microwave, smelling it as I walked. Oh this is going to be good. I knew this was the best 6 point snack out there. I figured it was 3pm and I would be leaving in an hour or so. If I carb crash at least I will be home.

I warm it uo and split it open and put the butter on it. Not margerine, the real stuff. 2 pts worth of real buter. Oh it smells good and the butter just melts. I cover it and walk to my office. I am certain that I was floating, but probably walked really fast.

I sat at my desk, opened up the wrapping and raised half of that warm, butter drippin bagel to my now salivating mouth. I took a bite. Oh, it tasted flat. Not at all like I rmembered. What a huge disappointment. I am certain that I will not be tempted again. See there are blessings in disguise.

Now I am gonna go home and have an egg and salas wrap. I am certain I will enjoy that.. :thumbsup2

Yes, yes, yes, I know the feeling, Dee! But, the more I eat well, the more I don't want that other stuff. Didn't even feel tempted by the pralines and cream ice cream DH left in the fridge for almost a week (what was he thinking, btw??). Not eating that, unfortunately, doesn't make up for what I did eat. I'm ok, today, though. Bad carbs are gone, I think, and I just FEEL better. Need to concentrate....

Sorry I was too late...I did the time zone math and figured I would be, but I had to try for ya, sister! (who has no sisters, but likes the idea)

Carolyn

Dee - & Miss C- SO FUNNY. I cannot believe it, this very morning I'm driving to work CRAVING a bagel (i love bagels but could totally live without bread)... anyway - I kept saying NO you don't really want it. I got to work safe, and one of the gals in the office says "Peg I brought bagels in"... so I figure, the Universe is telling me something, I toast it all up, go for the cream cheese in their little refrigerator and notice that it's dripping, the creams cheese is slightly frozen, but I figure, perfect - it will spread nicely on the hot bagel, I too, float (no, really I'm SURE of it -and sit at my desk with my hot green tea (gave up coffee) and bite into the bagel... BLAH Ptwuuuut... HORRIBLE. I dump the bagel and curse the Universe for tempting me!!!!

(Did I mention later the same day (about an hour ago) I conned a young man to go to DQ for dilly bars and had the VP foot the bill? Not sure how many points in a dilly bar - but it was very worth it, since I didn't get the bagel!
:thumbsup2

OH, and btw - NO I don't want to be single. I met the garage cabinet builder and $1025 dollars later I'll have lovely cabinets with a 3' tool bench with peg board - so excited!!!!

Now, I am awaiting my "claim" to post on the internet to see if I'll have left over money for LAS VEGAS!!!! (if not, you gals have a good time - without me) sniff sniff

Oh..DQ sounds so good. No I will not do it. I need to use those points for good food, but it soundsssssss so good.

I hit the enter key twice and am feeling stronger already.

Peggy Jo, good for you on the garage cabinets and work bench. I guess I am just feeling a little selfish, when I hope there is money left over to come to Vegas baby.

Carolyn, my sister. Hey I am hispanic and we are all about big familes so please come on over. Hey this way if you come to vegas you can tell DH it is a family reunion. :rotfl2:

Dee...DH would drive the other way, if I told him it was a family reunion!! Ok, the other way is into the Pacific Ocean, but the meaning is clear:). I'll work on DH the first night he's home before 8pm, after a good meal...I'm sure he "owes" me for something....(DS already said he'd choose Vegas and a hotel pool OVER the swim meet!) Where are you staying in Vegas?

Peggy...Peggy...Peggy...I have a good feeling about your claim. Besides, I think maybe your DH "owes" YOU after the whole alarm fiasco, don't you think??

Carolina, Dee's west coast Dis-hermana (isn't that Spanish for sister??)

Hey you might be on to something there - 4:00 a.m. wake up because of his silliness? hmmmm :teeth:

Back on track here - melted 2 pounds but then I'm re-melting some that I had gained back, so don't add to Bubba or the family as of yet!

Very happy about the tirp to Vegas and getting to go! We've decided on seeing Cirque "Love" - I'm very very happy about that. I love Cirque and music - so this shall be lovely!

Hope everyone is having a lovely week - see ya in chat?

I'm still here and still hovering on the brink of the magic 20 pounds. It's gonna happen by the end of the week CARNFLABBIT! Had a nice chopped salad for lunch and will do grilled meat and veggies for dinner ::yes::

REMEMBER THE DOLPHINS!!!!!

Ok well I am stuck at here. I found all those pounds lost in my mushroom attack. (I figured I would) My DW though she is not here (on this site) has lost another 20. But she has a lot more will power than I. She leaves every morning with one ham and cheese in white bread now mayo no mustard. Not even salt and pepper. And one light bagel with a small amount of Philly light, and about a gallon of water. I had to change the filter on the fridge again today. (Second one in three months)
That darn cheese cake. Maybe I should have stopped at four pieces? ;)

I'm feeling your pain - I've been stuck for oh, about 6 months!!!! ARRRGHH doing better now though. Hope a little rubs off on you!:goodvibes

Congrats, Peggy Jo. We will take the 2. Hang in there Devon. Maybe we can use your wifes 20 to add to our family.

I am reporting another 2 for a total of 45. % more to go before my birthday in a couple weeks. I am hoping I will make it. I think I am gonna bump up the excercise. I have been working out every night for 3 weeks. I have a cardio dvd from McDonalds and I am going to add that to my regimn now that is has gotten cooler. I hate to sweat.

Onward and downward from here and RTD
