I'm going to try this again to see if I can get a response from people that will be on this cruise. I've tried every other way that people have suggested without any response...my family is going on our first cruise on the magic set sailing on May 16th. I am interested on meeting some people that will be on the cruise as well. Let me know if you are one of those people...thanks :)

Hello!! Our family will be on this cruise as well! Me, DH, and 2 DD (10 and 8). This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. We did the 7 night Western Fantasy Cruise last May. I'm so excited about seeing the Magic! Disney does everything so well, and we were blown away by our experience on the Fantasy! Thanks for starting a thread for this cruise. :cool1:

Hello!
The 5/16 Magic cruise will be our first time on DCL. First time cruising at all actually.

My wife and I plus DS (4) and DD (2) visit Disney World twice a year and are excited to try out Disney cruising. We had planned to wait a few years until the kids were older, but last November DS was so fascinated by the DCL ship model in the Polynesian lobby that we decided to tack on a 3-day cruise.

Just booked the 5/16 cruise last week. I thought I knew everything I ever needed to know about taking the family on Disney vacations, but I am discovering that cruise planning is another animal altogether. :)

Yay! So glad you got a thread going and were actually able to post a link!

My family booked this cruise to celebrate my 50th birthday. DH & I sailed on the Magic before DS was born - when the Magic was brand-new! This time we will be joined by DS, who will be 12. Looking forward to hearing from others.

So happy that I've finally got to meet others that will be on our cruise . It will be our first with myself, my DH and my DS (5). Is anyone doing the fish extenders? I am interested in that and want to make sure I have proper gifts to bring since we've never done this. I hope to hear from you all often before we set sail!

Does anyone have plans to book an excursion in Nassau? With our two little ones, the choices are pretty limited but we are considering the Junkanoo Discovery one.

We were looking at possibly doing the blue lagoon beach day...

Honestly, since we don't have a sea day on this cruise, I would be just as happy staying on the ship that day but DH REALLY wants to do the Atlantis Aquaventure & has convinced DS, so we'll try to get signed up for that. Of course, it sounds like DS is a little older than your kids, too.

Hello! We'd love to do a Fish Extender too! This will be our 2nd Disney cruise, and we have 2 DD (10 and 8). Can't wait for this cruise! :thumbsup2

What disney characters do your girls like? Maybe you can message me your room number too so I can make sure we get to put something in your fish extender.. Did you do them on your last cruise?

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :beach:
Have a great cruise!

Looking to meet all of you on the ship :wave2:pixiedust:pirate::yay::dance3::woohoo:

Our girls really love Phineas and Ferb the best along with Merida probably. What about your child? I'll PM you our room number and I'd love yours, too, so that we can put something in yours.

We did the FE on our last cruise, and it was SO much fun! We had about 21 rooms so it was a big one, and we did something for the adults too. I had 2 small suitcases just devoted to our FE gifts! We had said we wouldn't do one for this cruise since it's a short one, but if it's a small group I'd love to do it again. It was so much fun, and my girls loved checking their pockets each day. ;)

My guy likes pluto, Peter Pan and the avengers the most. Def send me your room number and I'll send you mine back :)
I am excited to try the fish extender but I agree def a smaller group would be easier especially for us since we have to fly down and not sure how much we'll be able to pack. I will have def have phineas and ferb or Merida stuff for your room :)

We love to do fe gifts.
Not planning any excursions just relaxing.

Hi thank you for getting this thread going, ok kids ages are girls 12, 10, 7 boys 3 and 6 months they really don't have a favorite in characters The pirate dinner is when we leave Nassau that's what it says on my itinerary you dress like pirates but you don't have to and Disney put on a deck party to the theme. and yes we are interested in the FE but splitting it in small groups would be great because it does take along time to deliver.

Also I had seen something about characters signing pillow cases anyone else know anything more about this Im going to check into and see what I find out will post any info I find:tinker:

HI kids ages girls 12, 10, 7 boys 3 yr and 6 mo pirate party when we leave Nassau the dinner and deck party is pirate theme you don't have to dress but people do we are going to this time

Hi everyone
I found out some info on the pillowcase character signing
its also known has "Mickey Mail" on the ship
each stateroom is only allowed 2 items small (pillowcase, autograph book, picture frame border insert etc) also include color sharpies or pens place all this in a bag labeled with your stateroom and name give to Guest Services on the day we set sail this will be returned to you the last night of cruise guest service also has a form to fill out for this

we are going to do this but with the autograph books I have purchased for the grandchildren

I also read that at some of the character meets they don't sign do to time and the amount of people waiting so this would be one way to get the autographs

Hope this info is helpful :tink:
