Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

I, too, would love a Copy of those packing cheat sheets. I am doing a little bit of the freaking dance myself. I don't want to forget anything...:scared1:

I posted a couple of links on page 38 posts 567 & 570.

They are not perfect but hopefully they will help.

If you want your hair to get 'dry' :scared1:bring your own hair dryer! The ones on the ship are not good enough for thick hair.

Thanks mmi and Threeprincessmommy! That settles it....DH will have to make room in his suitcase for my hairdryer because my bag is going to be full :rotfl:

I hope these reports are exaggerated, this is distressing.

Any words of wisdom?

Before our first cruise, I worried about every negative thing that popped up on the main forum. Once I boarded, those worries completely vanished as we experienced the best vacation of our lives.

Given a ship of this size, there will always be issues and the crew is trained to quickly deal with them. The odds of something negatively impacting your entire vacation is minimal. I would focus on all the positives and enjoy everything that the Magic has to offer.

You also might want to avoid the main cruise board for the next 18 days. It will definitely reduce your stress level.

(Woo-hoo this post just moved me up to Mouseketeer!!)

Thanks -- I think that is sage advice. We were on the Magic in 2004 and 2005 and found her beautiful and were so impressed by what we saw as constant attention to her upkeep - cleaning, painting, etc., so I never worried when I booked about her condition, but then the thread about the smells freaked me out and now this...it's a bit difficult not to worry when we could go just about anywhere for the price we've paid to cruise Disney. Here's hoping the spirit of Christmas keeps her leak free!

Between having my entire family together and all the special people on this board, I truly believe that this will be a wonderful vacation for everyone..

BTW, the only liquid problem we had last time was when our assistant server, David from Australia, was working on his very first night and dropped his entire tray of our beverage order on my MIL and I. He was a really great kid and we had a lot of fun with that for the rest of the week.

Can I borrow yours?:lmao: My hair is naturally wavy, & the longest I have ever had it because the plan was to donate it in Dec. Well, now that has been moved back to Jan. & I am going to look for a decent smaller hair dryer with a portable diffuser. :scared1:Do they even make such a thing?:confused3

Oh, and I became a Mousketeer too!
Plus, there hasn't been a new post in almost 4 hours~where is everyone?:rolleyes1

Does anyone know what the minimum age is to run the Castaway Cay 5K? I read somewhere that it is for adults only. I would love for my DS11 to run with me , perhaps even my DS9. Will they allow children to do it? I think the 5K runners get off the ship first and I am not sure if they will let the kids get off the boat early with me to do it. Does anyone know? :confused3

Also, does anyone know what time Oceaner's club and lab open up? Will I be able to put DS5 in it before I run (just on case DH wants to run too). :confused3

P.S. I use the term "run" lightly! It is more llike a slow crawl. I shouldn't kid myself.:rotfl2: I am part of the back of the pack crew :cool1:

Thanks :santa:

Question......'
Do you take your own beach towels or just use the ship towels when you go on excursions to the beach? Having to carry around 6 beach towels could be really cumbersome...

I felt a little like a snoop, but I peeked at the Wonder Christmas Cruise thread and they have one thread totalling 16 pages and a very small FE group. :confused3

Christmas cards went out today!:woohoo:

And I decided to start on a cruise binder/journal/scrapbook for my BFF going on the 12/12 cruise with us. Kind of last minute- but I really want her to love this cruise and want to book again.

And had to unpack our Christmas cruise stuff to use the suitcases to pack our FE group's gifts- since there were way more than I thought once they were delivered- ended up being 2 BIG suitcases full! 120 boxed photo albums take up alot of room!

We always use towels from the ship. I have enough to pack, I couldn't imagine trying to fit in beach towels. We also don't have to worry about one getting lost or stolen.
