Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

Here is the launch schedule web page:
http://www.nasa.gov/missions/highlights/schedule.html

Current launch schedule conflicts with the Hyatt meet. I don't know the exact statistics, but it seems to me that the shuttle runs at about a 50% probability, or less, of actually launching as scheduled. I would be careful about planning my whole day around it. Usually, you can see the launch from about anywhere in central FL and I have seen it as far away as Tampa. Find a clear view to the east around launch time and there it is. Don't follow the countdown on the internet or TV or you might miss it due to timing delays... Local radio stations, including FM 90.7 may cover it also.

20! That's today's big number. Days left to cruise and pounds I have lost since we booked in September, 11 weeks ago. Goal was to lose about 2 pounds per week over 14 weeks and I am pretty much on track. I am trying to drop a few extra pounds because I plan to gain some of them back on the cruise.

Off to EPCOT today; and ESPN Club is just outside the back gate if there is a must see NFL game...

HUGE congrats on the weight loss. I may have mentioned before...last summer ('09) I set myself on that job and lost 28 pounds, (taking me to about 8 pounds below my high school and college weight :cool1:). Last year during the holidays...including a week on the Magic...I somehow found a few of those pounds again. :headache: I've held it pretty steady at that point, though I was hoping to get back down to the low from last fall!

The motivation of doing the CC5K has helped me keep moving, however! Did a 5K on the treadmill this a.m. in about 34 minutes. Looking forward to doing that running on the Promenade Deck in 3 weeks!!!!!!:yay::woohoo:

Well done Penny, thats a good time, I always find when im runnning an actual race/run I really cut my time. Not sure why, maybe I just get caught up in the flow:rotfl:
Thats the best thing about working in a gym, I can train after and its no hassle (and its free!).
Does anyone happen to know if they have kettlebells in the gym onboard? I have been usuing them lately and they are such a dynamic piece of kit. They get the inches off fast!

About a year and half ago I had a small group of girls and we worked out together three times a week. After 4 months, I had lost 30 lbs!!! It was great! I felt wonderful!

But then I moved and just lost the rhythm. I need a workout buddy to keep me going and I just don't have one here. I've gained a few lbs back, but have mostly maintained my weight loss and dress size. But I definitely feel sluggish and unenergized. Miss my girls!

Hoping that when I get back to the U.S., I can get back into a groove again...

Congrats to everyone on their weight loss! Way to go!!!:thumbsup2

I'm going to be ordering my shirts later this afternoon when Zazzle has the discount. There are couple of shirts I want to get for Agnes too.

I am also doing the 5K. I know there are quite a few people missing from this list, because we had a list going on Part II and I'm sure there were at least 20on that one.
Someone mentioned meeting before the run on the ship, that would be great to get the motivation going!

It was me that suggested meeting. I thouhgt maybe we could then all go down together in our shirts and as u said get each other motivated.

Anyone else who wats to get motivated can join in.

HAHAHAHA....way ahead of you. Should have mentioned that I've already booked 7 spa services....from facial to pedicure and everything in between!! Couldn't convince DH to participate, but I will enjoy every pampered minute.

I only have 1 word...JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not had time to even think about ordering a shirt for the Castaway Cay Run, so I think I'll just grab a shirt or tank and write my screen name on it so you all will know who I am.

I can't believe how disorganized I am, it's almost here!!!!

Here are some photos I took of our garden this morning (8:30am).
Temperature: -12C (10.4F) :cold:

2 weeks today I will be flying over the Atlantic on my way to Florida! :woohoo:  :cool1: :cheer2: :dance3: :yay: :santa:

Beautiful photos! Yes, I am one who thinks snow is beautiful! Love snowy garden pix! We have no snow yet, but are close to the right temps for it. My birthday is Dec 14th, and I always wish for a snowy birthday.....as a general rule, it is a safe wish! :rotfl:

P.S. to all the 5Kers: Hoping we see each other on deck 4's track on sea days leading up to CC day! We'll at least have plenty of "workout buddies" while on board! :yay:

OK- I think I finally figured out zazzle and am excited for my new BOTP shirt.:cool1:

Santa picture with Vika is fabulous :thumbsup2 She is adorable!

Connie - I missed your original entry about the champagne club, but please count me in. I can bring a bottle of bubbly, but don't own a boa or tiara. Can I borrow from someone? Let me know when and where!

Please count me in for the champagne girls drinks too! I have my boa packed! (ok, it's my daughter's boa but I'm she won't mind if I borrow it...:rolleyes1

My goodness...you have WAY more snow than us and I live in Canada!! We only have a few centimetres of snow - it is a bit depressing...I kinda like having snow on the ground near Christmas....But I won't miss it at all three weeks from now, that's for sure!:cloud9:

Anyone have any idea on turn around time for Zazzle orders? Last cruise my DH ordered a personalized hat for the neighbor kid who was mowing for us while we were gone. Only after ordering he discovered the company was in Australia, and the hat didn't show up until long after we were back from our trip (took like 6 weeks from order). He just asked me whether these shirts would be the same....I hope not! I see the company is listed as California. How long have orders taken for within U.S. deliveries? Anyone had experience?
P.

I just placed my Back of The pack T-shirt order! :yay:

I sure hope Zazzle can deliver it quickly! :thumbsup2

I guess it is time to start running before the cruise :santa:

Almost finished preparing my FE gifts!
Looking forward to meeting all of you.

For all the magnet rescuers--you are so kind!! :littleangel:

I am not picky at all, so whatever you have time/materials for is fine with me.
I know DD5 is going to have so much fun decorating the "special door".

Thank you all so much for the help! I will owe you all a DOTD :drinking1

My DW who will change her clothes if the colors match what I am wearing has now decided to make 9 matching shirts for our family and the ILs to wear during the cruise. We settled on the design this afternoon and she has gone out and bought transfer paper, shirts, etc.

Between matching outfits and the enthusiasm for the FE exchange, I don't even know who this woman is. She has a major case of Christmas Cruise fever. I guess that is what happens when you dream of 11 nights without having to make dinner.

Hello everyone!!

Wow, this weekend has been so busy! I have most of our magnets made including our Mickey ears for the cabin number! I've found the French phrase sheet for all of us and I've just finished the Martinique map. I only highlighted 6 areas. Once you get to these areas there is a lot to see and do.

For example La Savane is a big park with a market place, gardens, and lovely benches to use if you need a rest.

The numbers are as close the spot as I could get them. The only one I'm not 100% on is the grocery store. I know it is on Rue Ernest Desproges but I can not find an address or cross street.

Anyhoo, I hope those of you who are going to shop and eat your way around Martinique find this helpful! :goodvibes

For all you shoppers out there, I was at Walgreen to day and they had Mickey shaped wreaths! They were 7.99 and came in 3 different color schemes. They had several other Disney themed Christmas items too. I got a miniature Christmas tree pre-lit and decorated with Disney ornaments for our stateroom. The trees were available in several different colors and decorative choices.

This is an updated list. Please let me know if you aren't on here. Also, I believe we are meeting before the 5K but I'm not sure where. Anyone have an idea?
