Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

This is an updated list. Please let me know if you aren't on here. Also, I believe we are meeting before the 5K but I'm not sure where. Anyone have an idea?

I am going to have to do some running while on the boat. I have a feeling all I am going to do is eat and drink! :lmao:

OK. Put me on the list. I'll start working on completing the back of the pack first thing in the morning with some neighbors. I'll have to start a crash diet too, I have not been "good". I do not need any t-shirts, I've gone overboard with the girls clothes! Now to see what I have!
Congrats on all the weight loss and maintaining! How many days do I have left?? :yay:

Sorry in advance but..........

Its time for my SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!!!

Wow I have so much to do this week.

Colette, yay for you!

Michelle, thanks for your hard work on the map; I am now excited for this port. Do you happen to recall what page your Martinique/Christmas link was on? I lost track... :worship:

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I am a bit panicked about getting everything ready for the trip. Only two more weekends at home for us and they are both full with holiday events and an all day work trip on the 11th. And a daughter that is hopefully clueless! ;)

Does anyone NOT use an over the door hanger? I seem to recall that we didn't really need to one we brought 5 years ago, but I see so much about them I'm trying to decide if I need to run by Target and get one?! :confused3

And how many swimsuits is everyone bringing? PJ's? Anyone bringing jeans? This cruising in December has me confused about clothes.

TIA. Happy Monday...excited to spend two Mondays on the ship. IF there is no loud clanging noise mentioned on the Main Board.:scared1:

WooHoo, Colette!!!:cool1:

momssurprise - we are first time cruisers and are not doing the over the door thingie. DH has a hanging dop kit from Bean. I'm figuring that if we have split bathrooms it should not be too bad. We'll see!

Stopped at a Bass Pro Shop (UK friends, it is a HUGE mega sporting goods store.) Picked up a two pack of disposeable cameras (800 sp and 27 exp) for 9.95 and an underwater disposeable (800 sp and 27 exp) for 9.95. Beats the $21 for having a disp. underwater one delivered to the cabin. :thumbsup2

Happy Cyber Monday! :surfweb:

What is the absolute earliest we can get in line at the terminal? Is it possible to line up at the doors around 9 a.m. I know this sounds ridiculous but I need to get one of the low numbers for boarding so I can try and reserve something for my mum.

Thanks!

On the past 2 cruises we dropped our bags with the porters at 9:50ish (we were waiting for the porters to start accepting them) and lined up along the gate outside. At 10 they started letting people into the terminal for security and to line up at the counter. A couple minutes after that they opened the counter for check in for Castaway Club members. (The check in clerks for first timers was still setting up their area) We were in Boarding Group 2. Concierge and Platinum CC members are in Group 1.

We are done! Buttons are made, all embroidery is done, FEs packed and labelled, magnets done and printed! Unless we are wearing it between now and then it is packed!

For this cruise and our 12/12 cruise!:yay::yay:

Even have all the Christmas gifts to be sent to family wrapped and waiting to go out(still waiting on 1)!

We have an over the door shoe organizer but it usually only holds the stuff that we "might" need that stays in our cruise bag. I pack it full and take it out and hang it- makes keeping track of all that stuff easier. Things like Bonine, lint brush, earplugs, zip ties, extra pens and markers, lip balm, Shout wipes, Febreeze, air freshner, eye mask, etc... Then after take it down and repack it- ready to go again!

Lori, I like your idea of packing the shoe organizer already filled. I might have to try that too.

We told DD about the cruise yesterday. I think she was in shock. She didn't go crazy but actually almost cried. I have never seen that reaction before. She was THAT happy! I got the biggest hug and thank you I think I have ever gotten before.

Now I can pack and organize things without trying to do it in secret. What a relief because I have LOTS left to do!

Count me in too! I'm running the Half Marathon at Disney World on 1/8, so I'll be trying to get in a few miles any chance I get. I'm trying to keep realistic goals for this trip - try to run a little at least every other day and avoid gaining too much weight. I'd love to say that I'm going to religiously stick to my training plan, but I know that's not going to happen! If I can keep the weight gain in check, I'll be happy. I'll have to keep reminding myself that I don't want to run 13 miles with a ten pound weight strapped around my waist!:rotfl2:

Would anyone be interested in walking into Fort-de-France from the cruise terminal with us? You can hire a taxi for a 5 minute ride but after 20 minutes of haggling it seems kind of silly.

I was thinking we could all walk in as group. Maybe a nice walk to get us ready for the 5K!

We would be up for going!!! We might pick up a beach tour later in the afternoon, but I will make all those decisions once we get on the ship!!!

Wrapping Santa Babe's stuff up to send ahead. Lego's Hogwarts is waaay too big for Santa to haul on board (or off!):scared1:

You did not mention what you wanted to reserve for your mum, but with an 11 day cruise, I am thinking that there should be enough of a supply. For example, there will be four days for Palo brunch. Right now, the ship is not sold out, so there is even less demand. My guess is if you are in Group 2 or 3, I am thinking you will be okay.

I thought the ship was sold out - is there availability again????:confused3

I would love to! Don't know what the family is going to want to do that day - can we check in and confirm once on board???

Have her send my girls an e-mail! They are getting very excited - we leave next Thursday!!!!

Awww! That is wonderful!!! Remind me how old your DD is again.

She is 8, almost 9  It made me feel so happy when she was happy. I feel blessed that DH and I can do this for her.

In regards to the CC 5K, my DD is in a girls running program at her school and might enjoy the 5K. Is it possible to walk it? I think I could handle that!

It must have been so much fun to see her reaction!:goodvibes

We have not told our kids yet.:santa: Still holding out as long as we can. :ssst:
We are planning on Dec 15th. But, there are days when I think... it would be much easier to tell them... so they could help me!;)

Finally decided on what to do for FE gifts! Hurray!:banana::banana:one less thing to fuss about. I

:santa:REALLY want a red or green dress to wear on Christmas Day, but I haven't got it yet. I think I'll go up to Coldwater Creek outlet....they have such great prices!

DH Chuck went for a walk, and Patrick is sleeping, so when Chuck gets home I am OUTTA HERE!:Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc

Here are some photos I took of our garden this morning (8:30am).
Temperature: -12C (10.4F) :cold:
2 weeks today I will be flying over the Atlantic on my way to Florida! :woohoo:  :cool1: :cheer2: :dance3: :yay: :santa:

It looks like a fairyland! But I am glad I don't have to deal with it anymore! It might rain at Christmas, but my husband always says "you don't have to shovel rain!"

Just got back from Michael's. They have a complete aisle of stocking stuffers, half of it is Disney stuff, all for $1.00 each! Plus I printed the online coupon for 15% complete purchase - good today only. Now I just need to figure out how to get everything in the suitcase and still have room for my clothes. DH says I don't have to pack clothes for him but others might object:lmao:
