Hi Penny and Mike,

What was the weather like last year on the cruise? I see you were bundled up in Florida for the sail away party. Was Florida cold, but the rest of the islands warm?
Just trying to figure out what to pack, so any tips would be appreciated. :confused3

Thanks! :santa:

Thought this might help everyone deliver their FE gifts. Just look for the lime green Mickey heads ;)

Here's the link to the full-sized graphic:

FE Cabin map

This is such an awesome idea! Our cabin, however, is not marked. We're in 8034. Can you add us? Thanks!!! :thumbsup2

Does anyone else feel like they are "skipping" Thanksgiving this year and are heading right into Christmas?

I feel kinda bad. Thanksgiving is just another milestone that will get me closer to our trip.

Don't get me wrong...I'm cooking the turkey and trimmings but my mind is totally on Dec 18th. Anyone else feel the same way?

Me too!

Luckly, my sister inlaw is hosting Thanksgiving this year. So, I don't even have to do anything for it! Giving me more thime to spend obsessing over our cruises. :rolleyes1

Bump! Do I need shorts or pants for the ship and excursions? In Sept shorts or short dresses were fine. But now wondering if I need to pack, for example, cargo pants? What do you all bring to wear around the ship?

Exactly right......chilly for sail away (and about 46 degrees in Port Canaveral the day we returned!) but then once we hit the water and headed south, it was glorious! Shorts/tanks/tees/flipflops.....all you expect from the islands! :cool2:

Now that I looked at it a little closer... neither are we. Can you please add 2107 & 2109.
Sorry, but when I made the map last night, your cabins numbers weren't listed on the final FE list. They will be added on the final update I post, once I get tink&cinderella's, sarahlovespooh's and Brook3L's cabin numbers or on Dec 1st, whichever comes first.

Hi Kitster! Great Map! We have 2 cabins participating. Would you mind putting green mickeys outside 2050 and 2052? I am in love with those little mickeys and you are so ingenious! This will make FE delivery very easy. Thanks for going to all the trouble. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

The Mickey is actually straddling both cabins. When someone had 2 cabins side-by-side, I just put one marker for both, otherwise the cabin numbers would start getting covered up. The map isn't meant to take the place of a FE cabin LIST. It's just meant to show people where each cabin is located.

For those of you who have stayed at a WDW resort how far is Downtown Disney from the Magic Kingdom? We are staying at the Contemporary and I thought we could walk to Downtown Disney one evening.

Oh, no, you can't walk to
DTD from the Contemporary. But you can take a bus.

Thanks Connie. I should probably look at map before I take my whole family on a death march. :rotfl2:

OHHHHH they would be sooo unhappy with you!!!! But the busses run regularly. We're staying at Saratoga Springs, so will take the ferry to DTD! Yeah!

We finally got to our condo and got all settled in.:cool1: Long drive today and I am tired.:drive: :p Sitting here checking out the DIS with my DOTD(Bacardi Silver Sangria). :drinking1 Remember I'm on vacation so having a drink becomes a high priority!:thumbsup2 ::yes:: Just kidding.

Three At Sea - yes, I did get your information and I have added you to the wine tasting event.

Kitster - awesome FE graphic Vicki. Thank you so much.

Thanksgiving - we will spend it with my parents and my Mom's family. Brittany(DD-21) comes in on Tuesday and I can't wait. I haven't seen her since August so I'm pretty excited.

Was hoping to meet up with Camie in Montogomery but it didn't work out. She was still shopping and we were trying to push on through so we could get here. Hopefully I will be able to meet her parents sometime this week. We also have a meet set up with Christie this week. Should be fun.

I'm off to bed. Talk to everyone tomorrow.

What time is everyone usually off the boat? I'm trying to figure out what time we will make it to WDW. We have hired a car so we don't need to wait for a bus to fill up.

Any estimates?

Everyone is supposed to be off the ship by 9am. Those with really early flights will generally be the first ones off as soon as the ship clears customs - can be as early as 6 or 7am. Those with early dining tend to come next because you eat breakfast according to your dining rotation (although we sometimes try to trade so we don't have to be up so insanely early.) You can also eat at Topsiders on your own schedule. But once you leave your cabin, you can't go back.

I think you could get to WDW by 11am with a reasonable schedule getting off the ship.
