Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

I won't be able to obsessively check since I'm limited to my iPhone this weekend, but it looks sold out right now!

Does this mean no point showing up early at port to try to get any upgrades??

Okay, clear something up for me--
is it Christmas EVE night or Christmas DAY night everyone is getting all fancied up the mostest??

TheBeadPirate-- we are in 7576.

According to the schedule (confirmed by Disney concierge) the FORMAL dinner is Christmas Day evening, Dec 25th. :santa:

Of course, that being said...I would expect to see lots of folks dressed up for Christmas Eve as well.

hi DVC4US, just wanted to make sure you got my PM re: wine tasting info? Want to make sure we're in! Thanks, Three at Sea....

Needing to start a new thread....we've got a very exciting group!!

Counting down the days and trying to stay off Amazon/eBay/Overstock. I will be arriving in Atlanta on the 15th (hopefully!) meeting up with DH & DD, as well as my parents and sister who are flying down just to greet me on U.S. soil--how sweet!! Then DH, DD, and I will drive down to Orlando for a shopping/salon frenzy. You don't even want to know how long it's been since I've had a haircut or gotten my eye brows done! I still have no idea what I'm going to wear....hope to find some great stuff at the Florida Mall.

I look forward to meeting everyone, and having a DOTD!

Let us know if you will be in the Winter Park area, and we can meet you pre-cruise!

Collette,
I heard last night that when the Royal Wedding day is set it will be a day of the people and declared a national holiday. I have seen media reactions to the Royal engagment, what the reactions of everyday people?

I remember getting up early to watch Princess Di and Charles wedding. Oh I am dating myself now!:)

I certainly remember getting up early to watch that wedding - and I was in college - so really dating myself now! Everyone loves a fairy tale wedding...

Speaking of which - is anyone getting married or renewing their vows on this cruise?
:bride:

Good morning everyone! Wow, I can't believe we are up to so many posts that we now have part 3 of our thread...anyone care to guess if we will make it to 250 pages before the cruise? I think we can do it! :thumbsup2

I found a really cool Android widget that is a Disney vacation countdown. I now have a cute little Mickey head on my phone that reminds me that it's only 27 days until the cruise! Kinda exciting, kinda scary when I think of all I have left to do!

Just set up our Advent calendars, but are starting early so the final day is 12/17 instead of Christmas Eve... Also pulling down suitcases from attic today, and starting to wrap!

I checked last night and there were some rooms left, but they disappeared if you tried to book more than 2 people in them - so we are probably nearing our capacity in terms of people on board. Lots of people to celebrate with...

Both! Although will probably go for the elastic waistband formal outfit on Christmas night!

And thanks for the FE map - very helpful! Just printed it.

For Thanksgiving, we're having family over, then have plans for a family volleyball tournament and bike ride. When DH bought the turkey recently, he thought afterward that he should have gotten a second one for Christmas, and only later remembered - "Wait! I don't have to cook for Christmas"!
:santa:

60 degrees... here in STL..:thumbsup2

House cleaning & Christmas decorating :rolleyes1

The pile for luggage continues to grow... :headache:

FE is complete... same one we used before... but with Vika's name added to it

Love the part 3!!

Im so ready to pirate::santa:

Today my dad took the boys to a model train show & out for lunch so my DH & I could shop in peace.:thumbsup2:
Thanks to him we scored some new shorts for DH to pack that were on sale for $7.00 each! Whoot whoot!:cool1:
I also neede to find some "dressy" pants for my DS 12. Scored at Kohl's.
We had lunch together where I was able to fill him in on the FE gifts, door decorating, box to ship to port & whether or not we need Euros.
He doesn't really get into the planning, just wants a happy wife & peaceful vaca.;)
He was like "Is that what you have been doing on the disboard?"

Tomorrow, Christmas Decorating!:santa:

Have a great weekend everyone.

Does anyone else feel like they are "skipping" Thanksgiving this year and are heading right into Christmas?

I feel kinda bad. Thanksgiving is just another milestone that will get me closer to our trip.

Don't get me wrong...I'm cooking the turkey and trimmings but my mind is totally on Dec 18th. Anyone else feel the same way?

Totally!!!!!!! We drove from NC to MI today to celebrate Thansgiving with our family. Normally we are all so excited to be here. This trip I just keep thinking "when it's over only 3 more weeks until the cruise".

Ok- Kathleen and I found each other. She is so nice, and we had a great chat talking about the cruise and getting psyched! Now the cruise is more real than ever. :cool1:

After leaving Kathleen I did find some wonderful new clothes for my "new 46 year old body" and cannot wait to be "Fancy Angie" on the cruise. What I did realize is that I really have no idea what my children want for Christmas. There are toys everywhere in the stores. I usually buy way too many gifts so that the Christmas tree is full. My relatives are asking, but there is no list this year:confused3. Kind of nice to be focusing on the holiday and vacation instead of all of the toys. My sons haven't even brought up a Christmas list. Disney Cruise is enough for them.

Yes, Thanksgiving is on Thursday. It is my favorite meal of the year (actually it is the left-overs that I love), so I will be cooking turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and pie for eight. I work in my pediatric office on Black Friday so I happily will not be out fighting the crowds.

I need to get advent calendar up ASAP since the cruise is less than a month away, and we will use it to count down:yay:
