Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

In general, if you want to post photos or graphics, you need to open an account with a site like photobucket, upload your photos, and then post your IMG tag code into the message. You can also "steal" other's photos and graphics. If you just want the cruise logo, cut and paste this into your signature (just add a closing square bracket ( ] ) at the end to complete the code)....

Nevermind, I see you already got it.

You are so great! Thanks for all your hard work! I couldn't sleep last night with thoughts of cruising for the holidays!! Soooo excited to be sailing on our first Disney Cruise!!:yay:

I am so excited. My mom has always been on all of our Disney Cruises. This year she told me she was not going with us on the cruise. I was sad. But, I still wanted to go on the cruise so I booked the cruise and was hoping she would change her mind. Today was the day. She changed her mind and now is going to go on the cruise. I just got finished booking her room, flight, and excursions. This is going to be great. Another great Christmas. The only sad part is my son who is 21 will not be going. He needs to work during Christmas.

I am so happy that your mom is joining you ( I mean us). I am very close to my parents. I do not know if I could be apart from them on Christmas. I am sorry your son will not be able to cruise with us. He'll be there in spirit.

I am overwhelmed by all the parents who surprise your kids with cruises.

I want someone to surprise ME with a cruise.

How fun would that be?

I enjoyed reading all those surprise stories too. It is great fun! I am so bad at keeping secrets. It just would not work for me. I agree I want somebody to surprise me. That would be amazing!

Wow, next month is Thanksgiving! Vegas, here I come! But first, I need to focus on October: Pumpkins, scarecrows, and Halloween.

I just ordered an waterproof digital camera from Overstock.Com! I got a very good deal. I cannot wait to use it on my excursions. I also finally got my iPad! I will be playing with it this weekend. I will start downloading music and books in preparation for our cruise.

We just celebrated my DH's birthday last night at Phlight. It reminds us so much of Barcelona. The tappas were so yummy!

Welcome to all our new cruisers. This is going to be the merriest ship of the holiday season!

Take care and talk to you soon.

The Magic returns to Port Canaveral today after a summer in Europe. There is a two-week break, then 7-day Caribbean cruises start on Oct 16.

The Wonder is at Castaway Cay today.

I like to know where my ships are. pirate:

YEAH!:banana::yay:

Our cruise seems so much closer now that she is on this side of the pond again.

After dry dock I'll be able to watch her sail out of PC on Saturdays!

We just booked our cruise! We are so excited. This will be our 10th Disney Cruise :) Looking forward to meeting you all and participating in the festivities at hand!!!

So, I have a question. As far as dressing "formal" I have several LBD's (little black dress) and I usually take my black crepe skirt & silk top. Sice this is a holiday cruise should I bring some plaid? Will it be too warm for velvet? I am thinking of "accent" pieces (jewelry) that are more seasonal & sticking with the basic black/cream/red. Any ideas? Also, my DH owns his own tux (was in 2 weddings in 8 months and it was less $$ than renting). How many men go all out for formal night? Just wondering, I hate to bring it if he will be the only one other than ships crew!:lmao:

DH will be in a tux and my dad will be in his Air Force Mess Dress uniform - very formal. I will be in a floor length gown for formal night and will be buying my Christmas formal when I head back to the U.S next week. I don't know why, but since it's Christmas, I feel the need to be more formal than before, although we've always done a very "formal" formal night. So if you decide to go fancy, you won't be alone. :thumbsup2

Hello to all! So happy to have this fantastic thread to help us get excited about the upcoming cruise. This will be my family's first Disney Cruise - and we look forward to meeting everyone!

I think my boys (DH and two DS) will be in tuxes as well! Hmmm...I guess I'd better catch up to all of you who have already gotten your dresses as I don't have anything yet :scared1:

WELCOME to all of the new cruisers! :goodvibes

Im quite sure he won't be the only one very formal. I myself will probably be in a shirt/tie and probably a jacket. Not a tux. (a) I don't own one and (b) it will be tough enough to pack for 11 days.

For Xmas I have a black/red dress (deep red layer underneath, black velvet/lace overlay) sleeveless, ankle length or so; then I have a black velvet wrap for over the shoulders just in case. On our 2 previous Xmas cruises we were MORE than warm enough; only during the Sailaway Party in Port Canaveral was it a bit chilly. My DH wears black jacket and tie, no tux....though quite a few do. You can really go however you are comfortable for all dress codes, as long as you are presentable!

Looking forward to meeting soon! :santa:

I get to the gym in the wee hours of the morning! I am usually one of the first few people to arrive in the morning:-) Crazy, I know. I am on vacation. I usually get up at 4 AM so 6 AM is sleeping in. The CC 5k Run sounds good too, but I do not know if my joints will be up to it. I like Deck 4 too, but early in the morning it is very cold so I usually head to the gym.

Oooh....I hope the CC 5K works out! I never knew about it until our summer trip of '09; I was JUST starting to become a runner at that point so I wasn't quite up to a 5k; TOTALLY planned to do it on the Xmas '09 cruise, but weather made us REALLY late getting into CC, so I opted to preserve my precious Serenity Bay time with the DH instead! Who all is planning to do the 5k on this trip????? Would LOVE to do it....DH is happy to meet me at SB afterward!

I hope to finally meet you! We've tried to do a Jellyrolls meet before and not run into anyone.

Dh is getting his tux delivered this week. I am digging through old formals to see what still fits next week. We've only done short cruises before this one. Hoping we'll be up to par!
