Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Request for the FE list. If there are multiple cabins associated with one ID, could you indicate how many? I count 28 ID's while the total is 33 cabins ....... :confused3

The final list you get will be more detailed. If the second cabin was just kids right next to their parents I did not count it as an additional cabin. The extras are for cabins of adults that are traveling with family or friends on the Disboards who probably don't have their own login etc. but are wanting to participate in the fish extender fun. Hope that clears it up for you.

How old was your youngest in June? I'm seeing conflicting info about the ages. Some have said within a few months of the third birthday and other say only within a month while other yet say you have to already be 3 to be allowed in the kids clubs. Did you book Flounders before you went and cancel or not book FLounders at all?? Honestly I don't know if she'll stay anywhere alone..all this planning could be for nothing. One of her big brothers is 7 but I don't know if he would be in the same room as her. I just want to make sure she has a good time. I'm fine if she's with us or in the club. Although I have a feeling if she sees her big brothers heading off to a room filled with fun activities she may get upset to find she's not going!! UGH....I wish I had a crystal ball..Anyhow Thank you so much for the information!! I look forward to meeting you on the cruise!!

That clears things up completely. I'll just go with your numbers :)

He was 3 in the Jan. I got told if he was within a month of his 3rd birthday and potty trained he was fine to go in the club. I didnt book any flounders because it was a quiet cruise but the staff said i could use flounders AND the club if i needed to. My middle son is ten and he used to go in the club with Keegan for 10/20 mins then "sneak" out to his own club. He did have self check-out though. I think they can go between the club and lab whenever they like though. The counsellors will take them over so if your 7yo wanted to help her settle then ask to go to the lab he could do this. Keegan gradually spent more time in the club as the cruise went on. Sometimes i stayed with him sometimes he went on his own. They are really good at sending a page if the child is upset or asks for you. We just went with an open mind.
Look forward to meeting you too!

Thank you on the list, Melissa -- :goodvibes

Once I get digging and looking at online menus/locations and such, I will post different restaurants that we think look good. We tend to like grilled and smoked things, and if we can find some Creole grilled lobster ... :woohoo:
and I think it will not be hard to find. :thumbsup2

Only have 2 more BBQ judgings this season, both in Kentucky. Last weekend was the one in my hometown and it was lovely not driving 3 hrs each way. :cool2:

Good Monday Morning, Everyone!

Good Monday morning/afternoon everyone!

bigAWL - awesome pictures. I don't think I have any great ones of Iowa - not much here but corn, soybeans, and snow:goodvibes.

BigHugsforEeyore - right now our plan is to dress in formal wear for the first formal night and then to still be dressy for the 2nd one, but have a more Christmas theme. On our last Christmas cruise I had all the girls(me included) in red dresses.

SwimMama - welcome back

Craftygramma - welcome to the DIS Boards

IceSk8ersmom - I will add 2 to the list for wine tasting

Kitster - the Sunset Bar & Grill looks pretty cool. I'll have to talk to my crew and see what everyone wants to do.

tinkmischief - thanks so much for all the hard work on the FE list. I think the Nov 1 deadline is perfect. It will give us time to decide if we want to split the list and if we have people join the thread after the deadline we can handle them on a case by case basis.

I don't know if it's been posted before or not, but I saw that Don "Ducky" Williams is on our cruise. He has been on 2 of our past cruises and we have not had the chance to see him, but I hear great things about him.

Tentative informtion is on the first post.

Here is the current list:

DVC4US - 4
3princessmommy - 2
3princessgrandma - 2
VA Girl - 2
ucancallmetink - 4
IceSk8ersmom - 2

If anyone would like to join in please post on the thread or PM me.

Thanks!

I wish wine didn't give me an almost instant headache, this sounds like fun. I blame the tannins.

Welcome Craftygramma! With that name, I would think you are a crafty gramma:goodvibes. Mine is limited to cross stitch. What's yours? I also am new to the boards but finally got my "10" posts:woohoo:

With DH wearing his Air Force mess dress, we will do formal on both nights but unless things change quickly my dress will be the same on both. Between the Baltic cruise in June, 45th reunion at the Air Force Academy (for DH) and this cruise, the budget doesn't give much for an additional dress;).

Lois (and Ken - and Yes, we are superman and his "girl friend) with last name of Clark:lmao:

Hi Everyone:wave:

My daughter (tinkmischief) finally got me here on the boards. She got us the cruise as a Christmas surprise last year. This will be my first cruise - super excited
Will have to go back and catch up on the boards, my daughter has been filling me in and signing me up :lmao: for all the fun stuff!! In the meantime thought I would pop in and say Hello...and get my post count up :thumbsup2

Welcome aboard, Madge. You officially have your own entry on the roll call. You may be a first-time cruiser, but you sound like a pro on the boards already!

Awesome!. How's her English coming?

Are you done with trips to Russia? At least for the time being, I mean.

Good Day everyone!

My Dh and I had a fun weekend getting some of the things ready for the trip:

*I purchased tickets to:banana: MVMCP on our arrival day.

*Booked hotel room... thanks to DH's hotel points. :thumbsup2

DH was also looking at doing a minivan rental but they want $250 each way:scared1:. So, we are now looking to see if there is another option.

She will only "tolerate" Russian from her papa.. ;)

Other than that... she uses only about 3 or 4 words in Russian anymore. Our case worker said that she has seen that before where the child basically wants to move on. Vika is definately that way.. I will speak Russian and she responds in English. :confused3 Im the only one she will let speak Russian to her also.. friends of ours have tried and she won't have anything to do with it.

We are finished with Russia for awhile... Defiantely plan on going back if a few years.. when she is older... Might do DCL via St. Petersburg... pirate:
