Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Congrats to all the groups that were able to secure upgrades :yay: It is like getting a Christmas gift a month early.

I now need to go back to working on door magnets and finding alternative excursions for my adventure seeking older children.

P.S. - I am also enjoying watching the election returns come in on the FE split vs. no split decision and I'm not even participating. Can't wait to see the final tally. Its like a DIS Forum version of Decision 2010.

Wow, my 4th DCL cruise and I have always had a steamer trunk in the cabin. I had no idea that there were some cabins without! It will pose a serious space problem for clothes if we don't have one for such a long cruise. You guys may see our family wearing many layers! Maybe I'll just stack the suitcases on the balcony...

On another issue~Congrats to those who recieved their upgrades and cabin #'s after patiently waiting!:dance3:

Thanks again for everyone's vote so far.

Glad to see everyone is finally getting cabin assignments and congrats to those who received upgrades!

SPLIT - YES

I would also recommend having the voting through the weekend. Some people do not get on the board for a week.

uh, oh, we are fishy too! cquick: 6654 3 adults .
ok I will add you, when you get a chance please PM me with your names Thanks!:thumbsup2

We vote for NO split and I have a two year old girl...I didn't see her in the count.
I have 15, 10 and 7 year old boys and the 2 year old girl.
THanks

:confused3 I have her as 2 but she was in the 3-7 column. Do I remember you telling me she was turning 3 near the cruise? It could just be me losing my mind :rotfl: I will go ahead and put her in the 0-2 column

For those getting your cabin assignments please don't forget to update me via PM. I will try to match up the ones that have posted but I would rather have your PM to double check my work ;)

You are right...she turns 3 at the beginning of March.

Where would we find out if our cabin has been assigned? I went onto my reservation and couldn't find anything.

That's not a problem. I will edit my post to have voting open until mid-night on Sunday.

Deluxe Stateroom with Navigator's Verandah Category 07, #6146
Now if anyone has ever stayed there, let me know!!!:cheer2:

We got assigned too! GTY 9 - we got assigned 2050 and 2052. Anybody remember what room the laundry room is across from?

Congratulations to everyone getting their room ressies!!!! That means it's really getting close!!!!

The laundry is definitely across from 2094 and 2096 - THOSE ARE OUR ROOMS!!!!!! Barring an at port upgrade to connecting verandahs (a long shot at this point) at least there will be a friendly face to cheer you when you are stuck at the laundry! :goodvibes

Bummer! no upgrade for us Cat 11 in a sideways cabin. :(

Did you book GTY 11? Or did you have a cabin assignment from the start? The GTY bookings are getting room assingments (many with upgrades), but those who booked specific rooms from the beginning (like us) will need to pay if they want upgraded.

For the people that are wondering about what a steamer trunk is and a PARTIAL listing of rooms that have had them, refer to this thread.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2498298

The spreadsheet on the first page of the thread above includes updates to midway through page 8 of that thread. I have read other posts where Disney says that if the Deck Plan shows a bump out in it, it will have a steamer trunk. If it is smooth, it won't have a steamer trunk. The small sample that I have checked does follow the bump out guideline, but I believe that I have read a post of someone that had a bump out, but no steamer trunk before.

Obviously, the only way to know for sure is to board on December 18th.

Unfortunately, our rooms aren't listed on the spreadsheet or in the thread. On the deck plan, there is a very small bump out, but that's not enough to convice me that we've got a steamer trunk. Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed!

We have stayed in these rooms before. I loved them!

Can someone please translate our room assignment for me?? I just booked on Oct 3rd, and selected a GTY12 (because I didn't know if Uncle Sam would come through with my vacation!). Our room assignment says #6085. I thought that all Cat 12 were on Deck 2? That's good then, right??

Also, Tink, please, please add us to the Fishy list!!
DW - Melissa
DH - Paul
DD5 - Anna Marie

I vote no split.

And DVC, Paul & I would LOVE to partake in the wine tasting, if it's not too late.

I'm sorry, but being a new board-er, I can't PM yet!!

Counting down the days until the long flight home.....

You got upgraded to a cat 11 on deck 6! Congratulations :thumbsup2

We got a Cat 10 on Deck 2! :goodvibes :cheer2:

I just hope we don't get a room with a sewage problem... :scared1: :sad2:

Congrats to everyone who got an upgrade! :cool1:

We booked a Cat 12 gty but knew we would at least be in a Cat 11 because of having 4 people.
