Has anyone stayed at one of the Magic Castle Inns lately? Just wondering what shape they're in now. We stayed there 2 years ago and were pleased.

Our friends stayed there in 2002, and were not happy at all. They ended up switching hotels after the 1st night.
They have stayed there before, so it wasn't like shell shock for them to see a budget hotel. I can't remember the details, except for having blood on the sheets.
