I talked to my guide yesterday and he said he does not think backdating use years six months for MB is going to go beyond the end of this month. I will add a warning here, my guide strikes me as very sleazy (fast talker, short answers, doesn't provide a lot of information, etc...I am very jealous of all the wonderful ones people have posted about).

If I were you, I would switch than. I know there was a guide discussion with many great names. My guide is Diane Henry. She has done backflips to make my deals work. I guess I am use to Disney top service and wouldn't want to deal with less. Just MHO

sound like baloney to me- they have been backdating for ages- why would they change now? It is not always 6 months, sometimes it is more like 4-5.

Are you allowed to change guides? I haven't made a purchase yet, still in the discussion stage, but my thought was that DVC would want to keep the customer with the guide that took them on the tour (so that the guides don't pirate customers from each other when they are close to buying).

That said, we have moved since we took the tour and the last mailing we got from DVC listed a different guide and I think I will just call him next time.

You can request to change guides- it just has to come from you- not the new guide.

I probably shouldn't name names, but what the heck. Bruce Douglas. I think after my last conversation with him we have decided to wait a little bit and look at resales instead.

For resale brokers, I'm going through Jaki Apetz of A Timeshare Broker and she's great! When I first called her about a resale that had just been put on her website she answered all of my questions thoroughly. She even held that particular resale for me until I could call my bank the next day and verify that my loan would be approved. I've also read great things about her from other people on these boards.
