Magic Bands

We are going to WDW next week, and because of the fare increase, we bought our annual passes last saturday, we were originaly going to buy them when we got there. My question is can I get the Magic Bands at the hotel or do we have to wait till we get to the parks to pick them up? Thanks cant wait till we get there !!

Are you staying on property? If you are, they should send them to you unless you're not in the US.

We have a suite at All Stars Music, but because I bought them so close to our arrival date, they emailed me E certificates to print out and bring with us. So I have to pick up the Magic Bands.

Another question about the Magic Bands- we are staying at the Doubletree for 2 nights before moving over to the Yacht Club. We plan on going to MK on one of our Doubletree days. I was sent Magic Bands already-- can I link them with my tickets are use them while I'm still at the Doubletree, or do I have to wait until we check into the Yacht Club to use them?

Your bands will be at the front desk if you did not meet the customization deadline to have them shipped to your home (or if you're out of the US). You'll need to go to Guest Services to activate the APs.

If you had the bands shipped to you, you should be able to link your tickets and use them prior to your YC stay. I believe you just won't have charging privileges tied to the bands until you resort hotel stay begins.

I hope I'm understanding your situation correctly... Since you are staying at All Star Music you will get a set of Magic Bands that you should have been able to customize. These will either be shipped to your house (if in the US) or available at check-in. Regarding your annual pass, you currently have a voucher and need to go to guest relations at any park or Disney Springs to activate it. At this point, you don't receive another Magic Band. You will receive your annual pass card that can be/should be linked to your account. Once your annual passes are activated, under Magic Bands in your My Disney Experience account, you will have the option to customize your annual pass Magic Bands. Have a magical trip!

I am sorry if I am confusing the situation. We are staying at All star Music but room only, since we were buying annual passes . I was originaly going to buy the passes when we got there but because of the rate increase last weekend, and not knowing if it was going to be for ap's I bought them online. They emailed me ecertificates. I was just trying to find out if I could pick up the tickets/bands at the hotel or if I had to go to the park.

Thank you, I guess that answers my question, I have to get the tickets at the park.

If your APs are regular APs(not Florida resident or DVC) then they are active once you load the voucher number onto your MDE account and can be used to enter the park. (Activation date will start with first park entry). However, you will need to visit any guest relations(parks or DS) to pick up your AP discount cards. If APs are FL resident or DVC then you will need to activate them at a guest relations before you enter a park.

As far as MBs. Because of the late booking they will not be mailed to you but you can still customize them and pick them up when you chech-in at the hotel. The MBs will be linked to your MDE account and as long as you have loaded the AP voucher numbers onto your account you are good to go. MBs are not tickets they are just a way to access everything that's on your MDE account.
