Magic Bands

How do you know if you have been chosen for the Magic Bands? Will it tell you when you log into My Disney Experience?

Apparently my resort (POFQ) was added to Magic+ testing for October, today or yesterday. I haven't received a notification yet. However, when I logged in to MDE on my computer, I immediately got a pop-up window asking if I wanted to customize MB's and/or make FP+ selections. That was something I had not yet seen, so I went for it. I was able to customize our MB's, though I have doubts as to whether they can be shipped in time. But they'll have them at the resort if not. I also was able to make FP+ selections for all days of our trip.

The smartphone app shows the same information, and would allow me to make changes as well, though I prefer the website for that.

Staying at All-star movies Oct 12 -22nd and can now select fast passes and edit my magicbands. Thought anyone else who may be staying here would like to know!

We stayed at Pop in August and a few weeks before our arrival we received an e-mail stating we were going to have Magic Bands. They are now starting to test the moderates and Dixie Landings/Riverside is the resort chosen. The Magic Bands are neat but bulky to wear. The advantage was the fast passes for us. Other than that, they're okay.
