Magic Bands Won't Arrive in Time - Advice?

We leave Saturday and our package shows sitting in Reno since the 11th. Why it went FL, IL, Las Vegas, Reno to get to Seattle I'll never know. I was hoping someone just forgot to log it out and once it got closer it would get logged again. Or perhaps magically show up on our doorstep.


We have quite the group going and I was going to give our Florida family their bands when we visit them at the beginnning of our trip. Text them the room number and we are all good to arrive as we want!

Sooooo is my only option to have all of us check in and go through the slow process to get all of us grey magic bands of shame? (DH actually wants the grey)

You still have two days for it to show up.

Mine went from FL to IL to vegas from 1/29 to 2/3. The 4th brought it to Reno. The 5th it got to Tacoma and sat all day. Accepted, arrived, departed the facility. The 6th it arrived in my zip code and then was in transit to its destination. It arrived again then was sorted and was delivered that day before noon. Exhausting.

IF it doesn't shake loose from whatever is keeping it in Reno, just tell them at the front desk. I know it's not fun but it's something. And the ones that are in Reno will still work for their owners in the future so you can still distribute them.

But are you leaving way in advance if your wdw trip? I check in next week Thursday and I've had mine since feb 6. Odd.

Maybe call. They might be able to overnight it? Can't hurt to ask.

Where are you staying? We stayed at Beach Club, and I forgot ours on the counter of our house. My daughter wanted to design her own anyways, but when we got there, I mentioned it and they asked which color we wanted (they had all of the colors in the back). So you could buy a couple and specially design them, but when you check in, just ask if they have any colors, you may get lucky.

This won't help as they have already been shipped. In the OP the poster states how she has tracked them and where they are now. They are 'stuck' in transit

While it will not help with check in most of the resorts do have colors available maybe all maybe some or you can use a card if you do not want a magic band.
lastly online check in may or may not work anyway... I have done this our last 3 visits and still always had to go to the front desk while the other people who I got a room for (DVC) got a text with their room number....

You will love this. We live in Florida (7 hours from where they first ship out the MBs) and our MB started in Florida, then goes to Illinois and now its making its way back down to us. It is currently in Georgia for the last couple of days.
OP - when is your check-in day, would there be time to have a neighbor overnight it maybe, if it arrives right after you leave? Else, you just have to get the grey bands.

We check in on Wednesday so leaving like 4-5 days before our first day at the resort. We have a split stay and I declined the second set. I thought I was helping with the whole waste issue - now I'll have two sets anyway.

Thanks! Good to know. SSR Tree house to begin with. It never hurts to ask. Like I mentioned above, we have a split stay so on the bright side we only have to do it once and will be ready for the second half.

I know it's kind of goofy (Goofy?) but we wear them on the plane ride. I worked "our Magic Bands won't be here in time" into a song I was singing this am and the kids got it. We will survive. I just have to resist overcompensating and stopping at Disney Springs to buy custom ones. HA!
