Magic Bands. What are they

I keep reading about magic bands. What are they and what do you do with them. I have a 10 day php, from 2010 and won't need to purchase passes for my upcoming trip. Does that have anything to do with magic bands.

To answer your question OP - are you staying on property? If you are, you will be getting them. You'll be able to customize them about 60 days before check-in and they'll mail them about 30 days prior. Assume you live in the US - otherwise you'll get them at check-in.

You may also be able to link your existing tickets to your account. This will allow you to select FP+ 60 days out. All of this is done via the My Disney Experience.

If you are not staying on property, your may purchase a magic band and link your ticket to it once you arrive.
