magic bands shipping question

Our vacation is in january and our magic bands are due to ship mid december.

Question...can we call someone to get them shipped early? This is a xmas present to our kids and we were hoping they could open the magic bands on xmas morning.

Unfortunately, I don't think so. And you'll be lucky if they even ship when you get to your 30 day mark. Our trip is in 16 days and our last set of bands are "out for delivery" today. So they should be waiting for me when I get home.

Thanks for the info. That's disappointing as I'm sure I'm not the only one giving the trip as a gift. Guess I'll have to think of something else less cool to wrap up instead.

Thanks for asking this, I had the same question (we are also bringing our kids in January for their first-ever WDW trip). Too bad they can't be shipped earlier.

everyone has been saying they ship on the 22 day mark which i can confirm mine shipped on 23rd day mark. there is a number you can call if after that 22 day period has passed to check and see if a hold has been placed on them but like previous post no real way to expedite... if you don't mind them not having names.. the disney store online is selling them 12.95 each same as the parks. they are selling the color choices that you can use if you choose to just a suggestion. you could end up using those and saving the ones with your names as sort of souvenirs and just not really use the ones with names, or other way around

Sorry to jump on this thread with new questions, but how do you know when your magic bands are shipping? Does it indicate that on the My Disney website? We are going in late January, and this is our first experience with magic bands. Can you choose your band color somewhere? Thanks!

We arrive in Disney on December 21 and today, November 24 my magic bands shipped. Hopefully you get them before Christmas! If not maybe you could wrap a small disney stuffed animal with a note about going to Disney.

Yes, on the MDE website, under my account, magic bands and cards. You can pick your colors, add your name or nickname, and see the shipping details.

We got ours about 14 days before our trip.

We leave in 16 days (arrival of DEc 9th). MDE says our bands will either ship soon or just be shipped to our resort. WHAT!?!

If for some reason your MB don't show up before you leave home don't fret! Those silly things don't have passports so those of us who live across any border get our shipped to the resort (i know you live in the states just letting you know it will work this way) You will still get them in the super-funky Incredible Box that you've seen pictures of when you check in!

If you're using Magical Express don't worry, you do NOT need them to board the bus, just show them the booklet you get in the mail -- it has a bar-code they can scan.

Rest assured you will get your customized bands (if you followed those steps on your MDE site), just not in the mail I was amazed at the truck loads i saw getting delivered to resorts while we were there

Thanks for reassuring me that we'll at least get the customized ones there. I did customize them online with plenty of time to spare. Part of our issue is that we have two rooms. So two of my kids have already gotten their bands but the other two have not. Not sure why one room shipped but the other did not. Disney does things so weird sometimes
